Why shouldn’t I shoot my friends or club a baby seal? Is there any reason not to bomb a village of 1,500 people I never met and have no problem with? How is my friend going to deal with the chronic hemorrhoids he got as his battle scars? Will Hunting asks these and other questions in his speech about working for the National Security Agency, which is packed with rhetoric and somber condemnation that the NSA certainly deserves.
Will Hunting, from the film “Good Will Hunting,” was a janitor at MIT until a professor put a problem on a hallway chalkboard and Will solved it in under a day. Will was immediately taken under the wing of the professor and became a stellar mathematician. People told him that he should take a job being offered at the NSA, so he went to the interview and asked them, “Why should I join the NSA” Then he listened to their spiel about chaos mathematics and superstring theory, a spiel ended with a reversal of what Will asked. “The question isn’t why should you join the NSA, but why shouldn’t you?”

He sat across from the man who just made him so many beautiful promises about the mathematics he would be able to access as an agent of the NSA, and lectured him right back with the indirect results of things done working for the NSA, the things they hope you will just not think about when you go to sign up for your first day on the job. The way he sees life (and the way life must be seen) is that even though they may never give him a tire iron and ask him to clobber Salty the Seal, if he breaks the code and as a result Salty dies, it is his fault
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of elusive, charismatic and heroic characters. Marvel has grossed billions of dollars in making family friendly movies for all to enjoy, However, a year ago, production for Marvel's most adult, foul mouthed superhero changed that. Deadpool is perhaps one of the most advertised movies to date, drawing the attention of everyone around the world, even those who essentially don't know who the hero is. Deadpool has become more and more prominent in the MCU as of late, due to a steady stream of social media ads that increase the characters fanbase. Deadpool himself didn't catch the attention of moviegoers,

When reading the book “In Cold Blood” by Capote, Truman I came across many assertions one in particular discussing how the law is hypocritical. In the assertion it talks about killing and how it is a crime, but enforces it as punishment and justice. Thus showing how the law is contradicting itself. In my paper I hope to further explain and show how killing is in fact a crime, but can be used for justice.

Tim Cook is being stubborn by not letting the FBI have access to the software to get information from the terrorist’s user accounts. The FBI is trying to prevent terrorist’s attacks from happening in the future. I do not understand why Tim Cook is being so stubborn, about letting the FBI use the software to have access into terrorist’s accounts. Tim does not understand,
Conservationists and the ranchers that are having financial issues caring for their animals, without utilizing hunting, can take advantage of other resources to gain revenue. The ranch operators need to find alternatives to gain a source of income such as acquiring sponsors, donations, conducting guided tours or perhaps, providing educational programs. There are more humane methods of earning money than the killing of animals. Making use of the public's curiosity and interests is a resourceful tactic that can be very successful and beneficial to the economy.
Years ago, killing animals for food was part of the average man’s everyday life. While, now a days, hunting is questioned by many across the world because it is commonly viewed as a recreational activity. Many residents have a problem with the dangers that come with hunting. Not to mention, as time goes on, society seems to feel differently about animals and how they should be treated. One of the biggest debates is the harvest of white tailed deer. All over the United States, white tailed deer thrive because of the few predators that feast upon them and the large forests and habitats that these deer can flourish in. However, as buildings and subdivisions pop up left and right decreasing the white tailed deer natural habitat, the debate grows stronger. The heart of the debate is centered around ethical issues, human and deer conflicts, safety, and the benefits hunting has on the economy.
Bang! To most people, this sums up hunting. Hunting has been a means of survival for millenniums. While no longer necessary, I hunt because this hobby gives me an adrenaline rush and I get pride from helping to support my family. This pride comes from knowing how hard I have to work. Deer hunting includes much more than the split second of firing a gun in the woods.
Will Hunting epitomises a punk prodigy. The 20-year-old delinquent works as a janitor at MIT, solving impossible equations, meant for students, in his spare time. He is soon recruited by one of MIT’s professors and made to participate in a rehabilitation programme with the hope of being employed by the university. Rehabilitation is made challenging as Will is a troubled individual; having grown up in abusive environments and jumping from different foster homes.
Today’s shunned people are a new breed. With the internet, information spreads like a wildfire, creating scandals over night and created a person into an outcast. One of the most prevailing examples of this kind of person is Edward Snowden. Snowden worked for the U.S government for many years in both the CIA and the NSA. While working for the government, he found many things wrong with the way they functioned, but figured that the 2008 election of Barack Obama would create reforms in the government(Greenwald, MacAskill, and Poitras). To Snowden’s dismay, no reform came; in fact, Obama pushed for the same corrupt policies that Snowden hated(Greenwald, MacAskill, and Poitras). In 2013, Snowden felt it was time to released the confidential government documents he had been so concerned over to the internet, for whom he trust to make what need to be public and what needed to stay secret(Greenwald, MacAskill, and Poitras). His motives for doing so seemed harmless enough. When asked why he released the documents, he said “There are all so...
Within the sociological perspective there are many concepts, however there are only a handful of concepts that explain Will Hunting’s actions and identity. Social location is the overarching reason for ones actions and identity. It predefines one’s life; actions, emotions, identity and all aspects of life. Social location is defined as “…the intersection point of specific social forces” (Berger 67). A person cannot help but to be thrown into a certain social location and this location limits human behaviour and expectations. Social forces refer to anything in society that can cause change; friends, family, legal system, etc. Within a social location, there are certain rules one must abide by “…location in society constitutes a definition of rules that have to be obeyed” (68). These rules are present in order to keep a functioning society, social control comes in when people disobey these rules and need to be put back into line. Social control is ...

I should receive a passing grade in this class because I can write now. Not just an exaggeration, but after another semester of English I finally feel confident that can write. Three of the reasons behind my confidence is I learned, I experienced and best of all I repeated. These three values helped prepare me for what is in store in English 1302 and here is why.
Put yourself in this situation, and think about this hard. You see a kid at school being bullied and another kid stealing from him. You can either choose to do the right thing and tell an adult. Or do the wrong thing and stand by laughing and video taping. I would hope you would go tell an adult. When we were younger,, the golden rule was “Treat others the way you wanted to be treated” and if you stole from someone, or lied to them. You wouldn’t want someone to lie/steal from you correct? Some people might lie, steal, and disobey you. But most people do the right thing and not do that. And they are honest.. Just like stories/poems/short stories etc. are about mostly doing the right thing. Just like in “The Road Not Taken” (Robert frost),
