Serving in the United States military is not for everyone, Some have different potential for getting into architecture or Technology jobs. If we started to throw Everyone into the army straight out of high school Who would fill in for collage degree level jobs? Well you have your answer, It's no one. coming home from the war some would be traumatized and wouldn't seek a higher education. Accroding to Helpguide.org 1 of every 3 soliders come home with PTSD.Thus the economy would start to fall and the United states would find themselves being less of a superpower everyday, Not everyone is built for the Mind Grueling and physical obstacles that someone in the army face. Accroding to Worldatlas.com we have the worlds 2nd largest millitary. China has a larger military than us but are technology and money is far beyond them. Also there population is almost 4.5 times bigger than our own. With our army being this large already there is clearly no reason to force everyone into serving. According to WashingtonPost.com in 2011 we spent 718 billion dollars on our millitary. That alone is almost 1 eighteenth of our entire debt since 2001, so if we are trying to reduce the amount of money spent on military why spend money on troops that aren't need? Spending more money on the military would be a total waste considering we are already the superpower of the world. We are trying to lead countries into becoming democracies, not frighten them by adding more and more power to our military. Nationalinterest.org ran a poll and 54 percent of americans said we should convert back to isolationsim and bring our troops home. If this is what Americans want then why would we make more americans in soldiers. Making everyone in the united states serve is clearly the wrong path to
