Personal statement Being able to connect with an audience through a performance has been something that has fascinated me from an early age. It interests me to see how an actor can make the audience amused and involved them in what they are watching, I have always wanted and inspired to be part of this. Drama has played a big part in my life and has also had a great influence on building my confidence, being able to act has helped me evolve as a person who is able to understand others in more depth. Through acting I have been able to express myself in many varied ways by playing various characters. Throughout my time there I have had the chance to participate in many productions which have given me different levels of responsibilities and allowed me to challenge and express myself. This has included being a part of creating set design, choreographing dances and promotional work as well as acting. The company has given me a chance to gain experience through playing a wide range of diverse characters. During my time at sixth form I have gained skills that will help me towards my study in drama. Taking English literature I have learnt to closely analyse texts, especially plays.
