Personal Journey: Reflections on My Development

In order to successfully reflect upon a development of a person, the background history is crucial. As once mentioned by actor William Smith, it’s impossible to fully understand a person until his story is known. My first name is Dmytro, which comes from a Greek goddess of fertility – Demetra. My second name is Khrapenko, which was given to me by my father. I would like to take this opportunity to personally introduce myself. Since my first memory, I remember being a very active child both physically and socially. Fortunately, both physical and social activity of them are interconnected by a relation of direct proportionality, always complementing each other. One of the subjects that has helped me to develop this curiosity is history. It has always been one of my favorite subjects and during the last years has offered me a good understanding through multiple examples of the most important factors that define a nation as successful. Just as Karl Marx said that in order to gain control over a country one should attack its economy, a well-developed financial system has always been the essence of prosperity. Thus, finance and the entire banking system became the first branch of the unknown economic universe that triggered my thirst for knowledge in this field. Even without having too much experience in this domain, it seemed to me that it was the main pillar of the economy of a country that controlled its finances and was responsible for the success or failure of the national budget.
