It was my sophomore year of high school and just like every Saturday, my family and I gathered around the T.V. to watch the LSU football game, so my dad could cheer on his Tigers while I was there for the band and the fantastic football food. That particular Saturday, LSU faced the Wisconsin Badgers, which according to my dad was going to just be a complete blowout and would result in another win for his beloved Tigers. As the game progressed, my dad blew a gasket since his team was losing to the underdogs at halftime, nevertheless, I tried to tune him out as the band marched onto the field for their show. I often preferred DCI shows rather than college bands, yet I was absolutely mesmerized by the Badgers clean technique and upbeat music that
concerts in my lifetime, so I had never had an experience like this. The other band,
Wisconsin Dells was better than Six Flags because my family stayed longer. We were in Wisconsin Dells for four days, but we were only at Six Flags for two days. Because we were in the Dells longer, my family was able to create more memories. Six Flags may have had more attractions inside the park itself, but I felt rushed and did not enjoy my time there as much. The length of time my family spent in Wisconsin also gave us the ability to experience the numerous attractions found outside of the park.
These incidences, in simpler terms, are inspirationally moving to the individual who is primarily involved in the awe as well as the others who glean the interest to participate in this happening from the details retold by the experiencer. On Monday March 25, some members of the baseball team, my girlfriend, and I traveled to Murray State University to watch a concert performed by Nelly and the St. Lunatics. It was a terrible night to go anywhere because it was raining and storming the whole way, but there was nothing that was going to stop us from going to the concert. We where all so hyped up about it and couldn’t wait to head out. My brother, who attends Murray State, had gotten us excellent seats about seventy-five feet away from the stage.
At the end of my junior year of high school I was told that I was chosen, along with one other junior boy, to be a primary delegate to attend Badger Boys State, a week long youth program at Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin that brings more than eight hundred and fifty boys together to learn about leadership and the United States Government. Although only one week of my life, I can confidently say that Badger Boys State is one of the best and most significant experiences I have ever had.
The night was young, times were crazy and it was only the beginning of my senior year. It was still warm out and it still felt like summer; we didn’t know that we could have this much fun in one night, but we knew we were going to have fun no matter what. My first concert had to be one of the best nights of my life and one of my most favorite nights of my life during my senior year. It all began when my buddy Alex Kramper decided to give me a phone call and wanted to know if I wanted to go to an Imagine Dragons concert at the Verizon Wireless Amplifier Theater for only twenty bucks, I responded with a hell yeah, the concert was only in a weak.
I have been playing baseball as long as I can remember. My dream ever since I was little was to win a State Championship in high school. Baseball is the only sport that I could literally play every day and not get tired of it. I told myself that I would never give up my dream of playing baseball as long as I live.
I woke up from my dream that told me I was gonna be a phoenix basketball player and that I was at one of there games. I was so happy because one day that might become true. I like basketball because, it's fun.
Sports play a very important role in my life ever since I could walk. My interests in playing sports began at the age of three as my parents signed me up for soccer, flag football, basketball, and lacrosse. First grade started my competitive edge as I began to play for travel teams in various sport tournaments. This competitive edge transferred from the sports field to the classroom having teachers and coaches helping me be the best I can be. Sports have continually well-shaped and defined my character by teaching me how to accept a win from working hard, also how a loss is an opportunity to learn and fix mistakes.

“It’s broke, all right. You won’t be playing any sports for a while,” the doctor announced. My head drooped down, and I started shaking it slowly in disbelief. This all started on a spring day with only five more days of school left of my eighth-grade year. Excited for the approaching summer break, the whole class went outside to play. “Football time!” I shouted as my friends and I ran outside to the softball field, where we always played football. Once we picked teams, we began playing.
The caravan of about eight cars pulled away blaring the music of Van Halen and Metallica. I have never seen such a pumped up group of young men until then. My stomach was kind of queasy because of the great deal of nervousness that had come upon me. The team and I were cruising on highway forty heading away from the beautiful sunset that was occurring behind us.
Our drum majors nodded, and gave each other their signal that they were ready. We got into our starting positions, and began our show. It went smoothly the whole time. I didn’t think any band members made any errors. All I could think about was how itchy my uniform was. We left the field to watch other bands perform their last shows.
I had never really been to a big concert that had a well-known band. A couple of weeks before the concert I got some information about it, but really didn't think much of it. I talked with some friends about the band and we all casually decided to go get tickets for it. Little did I know what an absolutely spectacular time I would have.
There is an event that I just can describe as one of the most unique and memorable in my life: attending my first concert. After years of listening to Ron Pope’s music, watching his YouTube channel, and following all of his social media accounts, the satisfaction of seeing someone whose music has been the soundtrack to my life for so long was unreal. There were moments that I had to internally remind myself that this is, in fact, happening in real life. Being a dedicated (some may say eccentrically so) fan is tough work – and I was rewarded with two hours of pure magic for one night.
