I have a bit of a problem. In my hometown, Laurel, MT, there is a certain group of people that entertain themselves by sitting in parking lot, whether it be a convenience store parking lot, or the high school parking lot. I call this group The High School Parking Lot Party, seeing that they originated in the high school parking lot, where they stayed for about a year, until the school district kicked them out. Then they went to a convenience store parking lot and, after about a month, got kicked out, and now they are across the street in a place they like to call the “Gravel Pit.” I honestly think it’s ridiculous because all they do is smoke and drink and sit there because they have nothing to do. I probably shouldn’t even care, but when they were at the high school, they’d just throw their trash out of their windows, even though there was a garbage can not even 5 feet away! I had to pick all of it up because I worked for the school and picking their trash up was a waste of my time because we had to mow and weedeat all the schools and field, all together it was 37 acres total that we had to do at least twice a week, so when they create a mess that my …show more content…
They could save all the money the spend on gas or drugs for college, or something big, like a new car or something after high school. I can’t get mad at all of them, seeing as some of them are people i talk to occasionally and they’re all really nice people, they’re just a bit disrespectful to people that own that area or the people that have to clean up their messes every so
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.
You are probably right. This was not the act of one person but instead started by one and grew too many until the entire side of the road was littered with trash that could have otherwise found its way to a salvage yard or landfill. A single act by one person granted others the permission to do the same. The old dryer lying in the ditch somehow suggested to everyone that drove by, this was now accepted as a dumpsite for the items they didn’t want anymore although the law strongly states otherwise. It did not happen in one swift moment rather that as the pile grew larger, the power of suggestion did as well until people were dumping there at an exponential rate. Why would one add to the problem rather than correct it?
When I was entering into High School, I tried to join as many clubs as I can, since I wanted not only to be superior in grades, but also extracurricular activities. So as usual, I joined Key Club. At first volunteering at the events was fun, but as I went to more events, it felt as if it was a chore. I did not feel any passion; it was rather tiresome.
On 02/02/16 is when I parked my truck in the Blatt parking lot. I would like to start by saying that I paid $100 for a parking pass to park my car. Only to find out that the Blatt PE Center parking lot would be full of people parking for free (with not tickets being issued). Every weekday evening until late at night swimming practice is help at blatt. Along with that comes tons and tons of parents and high school students who need to park their cars. So they all park in the Blatt PE lot. They fill the lot up everyday and even line the rows waiting for students to walk up so they can follow them to their cars and take their spots. There parents and high schoolers are parking in the spots that I have paid to park and they pay nothing. Something
From then on, I always see some videos of recycling and secondary using subconsciously. I make the best use of everything. I think school gives an innovative thought that be used as a part of everyday life as an interest. From my angle along, no one is willing to waste. Thus, do more propaganda might help a lot.
On October 29th Saturday, I participated in a volunteer opportunity with the democratic campaign. The office had more than 20 people, some of them were making phone calls. I received a package with a map, a list of people’s name, address, and other basic information about the person. My duty was knocking those people’s doors and ask them “who are you going to vote?” “Do you have any things that you want to say about the society?” I do not have a car so they assigned me to the place which is located in walking distance from Beloit College. A married couple who were at the office offered me a ride to Campus. Both of them are in their 50’s. They told me that they have a friend who is now teaching at a university in Tokyo, Japan. The lady also had been to Japan in 1980 as a student. Her husband did not talk much.
Garbage is floating in the lake. It is heartbreaking to see what has happened to the park. It used to be so nice. If something isn’t done, no one will want to go there anymore. I feel that cleaning up City Park should be a top priority for our community. One reason I feel this way is that my dad says that City Park used to be beautiful. When he was growing up, his family spent every weekend in the park. People would swim, fish, and have picnics. Everyone loved to go there. I wish it were like that today…but now, the park is a dump! Children my age don’t want to play there because there is so much garbage in the water and on the grass. I also think that the baseball fields are dangerous. I know this because I am on a team. The grass is really high. One player on my team actually cut his knew. He tripped on a weed while he was trying to catch a ball in the outfield. We lost the game and he couldn’t play for two whole weeks. My dad told me, “If they don’t fix those fields, you’re not playing baseball anymore.” He is not the only parent who is upset. The parents of my teammates are worried, too. Anyone who cares about the kids in our town should be disturbed about this
The city can look ugly because of tents; carts and sleeping bag all over the place. Homeless are camping with their tents and carts on the sidewalks in front of homes, stores, restaurants and hotels. I was once walking down 14th and Market in Downtown San Diego ,I had a hard time walking on the side walk and had to walk on the street because of the shopping carts of the homeless were in the way .The homeless were smoking, drinking and others were sleeping. Though the carts my be in the way some of the homeless are using them for good purpose instead of using them for useless stuff even though one mans trash is another mans treasure.
My Ridgeview Middle School is thinking about making the school hours longer. I completely disagree about this because I believe it's a little too hard any ways with the time, but now there's upgrading the time and making harder on everyone else.If the schools are making the hours longer then sometimes people need to just stick with what they got and be thankful for what they have because it might be over soon.
Lastly, there's just not enough time for anything in their life, like they can't mentally or physically handle school and their lifestyle. Take me for example, a college student and a mother of one. I find it hard to successfully attend college and keep a job at the same time. My family and myself, right now, are at the bottom of the barrel. When we moved back from Tennessee, we had to use all the money we had saved.
When I was three my mom threw me into the cruel frozen tundra of school. Eleven years later I walked into worst place for anyone can go… HIGH SCHOOL. Tucker High School was dark and gloomy with many creatures roaming the halls some were good, but most were evil. Within the good were my squad: Ebaa, James, Grant, and Sam. They could be compared to my eyes leading me to my destiny. Students in the schools are the same as coal in many ways. They have dark minds, ruin the environment, and are very combustible if you light a match (gossip). Another similarity is that there are patches of diamonds, one in a million coal's that were refined enough over time to become beautiful. Those diamonds are my squad, but were going to have to dig a bunch of coals to shine our light. Gosh, it's going to be a pain!
What we should do about it is put a lot of trash cans by the ocean. Having all this trash in the ocean really is unnecessary. We could possible make a big net and tie it on a helicopter and pick up the trash like that. People can die by having all this trash in the ocean. I just don’t understand why people don’t care where there trash goes so they put it where ever they want. We can probably not allow any food or drink or bags get on the beach unless its items that people need. It’s just so hard to try to keep it clean because everyone doesn’t care about their trash. If anybody doesn’t pick up their trash, nobody is going to pick up their trash. People think because there’s trash flying around the beach that it’s ok for their trash to fly around also. If someone lets a plastic bag fly and hits a baby in the face what is that person going to do? It’s dangerous that trash is out there just like nothing. We as individuals can also stop it by telling our friends and family. If anyone sees trash by them they should take it out. Just don’t ...
Our world is getting to the point to where we will be surrounded by trash. There are hazards happening because of the excess trash, which could have been recycled. Although the government is not doing their best to make these hazards stop, surprisingly it is the non-governed organizations that are trying to make the difference. Proven studies and facts have been made about these issues, so people should take this into consideration and start recycling more. Recycling is a beneficial process that is not required globally like it should be because citizens are uneducated on the process and what it can do. People who are not recycling do not know the hazards they are causing everywhere.
...ork hard and get a lowest wage and live their life. I feel sorry for them. They worked 12hous a day, 6 days a week, to earn some money to support their family. What a life! I was surprised that they were willing to do a job like this. If I were them, I would try every mean to jump out of a hell like that. There was a girl who’s 18 years old. She quitted high school and started to work there one year ago. I encouraged her to go back to school. She seemed interested. But I felt she’s not really going to change her life by getting a higher education.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (2008), an American produces 250 million tons of garbage per year (para.2). There are different circumstances that are based on the society, environmental conditions, occupation and size of each of the different families. As Richmond (2010) stated, if no administration organizations has the responsibility or resources to concentrate their efforts on the waste disposal, then the responsibility to do that is on the nongovernmental organizations and ordinary people (para.... ... middle of paper ... ...
