The day before the Shawn Mendes concert, I went to my friend, Cacey’s house to spend the night because we were going to leave early the next morning for the concert. We were going to celebrate the wondrous occasion of her birthday. The night before, Cacey happily opened her presents, and then we went to go to bed early so we wouldn't be drowsy the next morning. The next morning, we woke up and started getting ready for our long car ride. It wasn’t that long, though, just two hours. We got in the car around 10;:00, and left to go to the concert. During the car ride, we listened to the entire Shawn Mendes CD 2 times. We finally arrived after two hours, and we were there! Once we got there, we checked into our hotel, and waited in the hotel lobby a little bit before we left to go to the Hershey stadium. By the time we got to the stadium, we were really hungry, so we got delicious pizza, and thirst quenching lemonade. As soon as we finished, we left to go to the concert. Cacey, Morgan, Cacey’s mom, and I entered a …show more content…
It started off with Sabrina Carpenter, the girl plays Maya on “Girl Meets World”. Shortly after Sabrina’s performance, Jacob Whitesides took the stage. He sung a few songs and soon exited the stage as well. Jack and Jack came up, and then sing a few songs of theirs, in addition to a never before heard song that they performed. R5 appeared soon after, and played several songs, some heavy-metal. It was really awesome. Then it was Fifth Harmony. But before they got on stage, they made a grand entrance on the North side of the stadium where people entered. I was in the front of everyone, making a pathway for them. Meanwhile, security was holding people off. I was so close to them, I could have literally touched them. Except for the fact that there was a security guard standing right in front of me and surrounding Fifth Harmony. They got on stage, and sang and danced for an hour straight. It was pretty
We got to the Murray about twenty minutes before the concert started. So we headed in to find our seats and wait for the opening band to come out and perform. At about five after eight, the lights went out and it was time for the concert to start. Two guys came out on stage and started to sing. The two guys called themselves Core Project. I thought that this band was pretty awful. I could not understand one word they said the entire time they were on the stage. They just tried to be like every other band to come out right now. They didn’t offer anything different or unique. I must not have been the only one that thought they were bad because there were many people booing and yelling out “you suck” while they where on stage. After about a twenty minute performance they left the stage and another band came out to perform.
I was in the car with my best friend Hannah with her sitting passenger and I was in the driver’s seat. We were talking and laughing, having a great time without a care in the world. My stereo was on and playing was my favorite CD: Blurryface by Twenty One Pilots. We were on our way to a friend’s house and couldn’t wait to get there. The traffic started to slow us down but we didn’t let that damper our mood.
When we started walking towards the huge Stadium (that could hold 66,000 thousand fans!) I was really excited to go into the Stadium, we walked through a glass Walkway that you could see all of the fans that were at the game. Then we were right into the Stadium. The Stadium was huge it was made out of glass that had to be pretty strong because there weren’t any poles in some places and in one spot the glass would open so then it looked like a huge glass door which it pretty much was. Right when we walked in we saw a huge
As I entered the building, I observed everything that was going on around me. The show started at approximately 8 p.m., and ended at around midnight which included a 15 minute intermission. There were two acts
On my side of the stage seven people fainted and the security guards had to pull them out and of the crowd and put them on
Once I let my thoughts return to the music, I knew what lie ahead of me. I tapped the nearest "big guy" on the shoulder and pointed towards the ceiling; the universal signal on the concert floor. He nodded, grabbed my foot, and pushed me on top of the crowd. Once I was up there was no turning back. Soon strong hands were surfing me towards the stage. I had the best view in the house and reveled in the moment. I was fueled by an adrenaline rush that was only heightened by the fusion of the music and the energy of the crowd.
Before the actual performance began music was played. I thought nothing of it assuming it was music to simply hold the crowd. And also I under was the impression that this would end once the show began but to my surprise this featured music was ...
It was February 8th and all me and my best friend Emalie could do was think about the concert. We were finally able to see and listen to two of our favorite people. For me i was also excited to see Jon Bellion who was one of the opening shows , but so was Judah and the Lion. The concert was being held at the taco bell arena in Boise. Throughout the day i listened to Twenty One Pilots , and even made a little poster saying “Stay Alive” which is kinda like the motto of the band. And wearing any band merch or signature things of the band (Like red beanies, or smearing black chalk on your hands). As soon as i got home i got ready, and waited for Emalie to come pick me up.By the time she had gotten there we were already on our way , we listened
During the concert the pianist, drummer and saxophonist did a great job, making the rhythm unforgettable. One of the songs that was performed was "Wrapped around your fingers" it contained a romantic melody. While the piano and saxophone then alternated the rhythm, as the passion of the song was motivating everyone to fall into the rhythm of it. The melody which was steady seemed to get faster like a heartbeat by the climax of the song. The sounds were increasingly getting louder until all instruments met at the top with a ban...
My hair was in it 's usual mane of curls since Jennifer was too lazy to deal with it, my nails were painted black and my eyes were decorated with eyeliner, mascara, and a light blue eye shadow. My outfit was pretty simple. I had chosen to wear a dark blue halter top with my favorite pair of ripped black skinny jeans, and my black converse. When we finished getting dressed, I wrote a note to my mother, telling her I was going to be out, and got into Jenn 's car. The drive to my other best friend, Dylan 's house wasnt that long. Only about ten minutes. The drive to his house was comfotably silent. The kind of comfortable silence that surrounds you when you are around someone you love.
The day started off pretty normal, well, besides the fact that we had all stayed in a house with nothing but an old Nintendo system and a couple of lawn chairs. We went to breakfast at Denny's, after which we made our way to Denver, the site of the day's big event. On our way to my cousin's apartment, we drove by the multi million-dollar complex. It had a huge billboard that said "Summer Sanitarium." To my surprise, I kind of got a nervous feeling. Why? I do not know. We proceeded to my cousin's apartment where the entire group conglomerated in preparation of the concert. We had a large group of people that consisted of Carter, Josh, Seth, Sam and his two brothers, Tim, Kim, Eric, my brother me and. While waiting for the right time to arrive at the event, we had the radio turned to a station that was playing Metallica in honor of their presence in Denver.
Excited, we rushed our way into the mosh pit, (in my mind the only place to
My family, Mackenzie, and I were on our way to Laramie to watch the basketball games and the football games going on that weekend. We were almost to Laramie when Carly, Mackenzie’s older sister, called her. I could hear the excitement in Mackenzies voice practically the whole time they were talking. Mackenzie finally turned to me and exclaimed that Carly had gotten us tickets to the Jason Derulo concert the next night. When we arrived in the Arts and Science building, where it was being held, we took our seats in excitement. We kept joking about what would happen if we were to actually meet Jason Derulo. Mackenzie and I kept discussing how amazing it would be as Carly went to the bathroom. About 10 minutes after she got back, Mackenzie and I decided that we should go to the bathroom as well before the show started. When we walked out the doors we asked a guy working there where the bathroom was, he pointed to the left and said it was just down the stairs. When we got to the bottom we noticed a big long hallway to ...
When the final song was over and Jars of Clay was off the stage, the lights abruptly came on. Everyone started to leave the theatre. I still wanted to hear more of their music, but just as they had come out they then left in the same way. My adrenaline was still on a high point even as we got to our vehicles.
Then audience members who were perfect strangers who were screaming loudest would turn to each other with knowing glances and smile because they were sharing the same excitement and connecting with one another over their love of this man’s music. There was no pushing or shoving to get closer to the stage – it wasn’t that kind of crowd. Instead, there was mutual respect for one another’s space within the confines of the too-small venue. Nobody wanted to be the person who ruined it for someone else. It was this respect that made the audience members’ connections with one another that much stronger – we were all here to listen to this wonderful man’s music and see his performance – and, of course, we were here to enjoy it.
