Personal Narrative: Softball

I was standing there, my feet sitting besides the home plate, watching it fly by. Waiting for it to come straight to me. Here it came as I swung for the fences. And I realized that something in me has moved or something just popped up out of nowhere. Something like change. I started softball just for a fun sport and something to do. Little did I know that I was going to find myself, come up with strategizes and have a bundle of fun. Softball has shaped me into the person I am today, because of the strategizes, the fun of it, and finding out who I really am. I love playing out on the field because, I make lots of great moves, I try my best to have fun and I loved finding out who I am today. I’ve watched baseball before but never played softball. When I was at my first game, I kept thinking they’re gonna run to first and we have to get them out. Little did I know that, that was a strategy. Ever since I started playing I’ve been using those strategies, even when I watch baseball or softball on T.V. Now that most softball seasons are over, I still use the strategies I learned while playing softball. I am going to plan on softball next year. Softball strategies have changed me due to the way I think and the way I act. Softball is really fun when you’re playing. It’s even more fun if you’re winning. Why is softball fun you may ask? Well in my opinion it's way more fun than baseball. Softball is fun because you get to see who you are when you’re out on the field. You get to experience what it's like to get down and dirty. (way dirty). Softball also lets you experience what kind of emotions you have on the field, if you are mad then you are mad, happy, glad, sad, or maybe even afraid.
