Personal Narrative: My Trip To The Connecticut Huskies

Last year for my birthday, I went to Dallas, Texas with my mom to view my favorite women’s college basketball team, the Connecticut Huskies. This trip was one of the most exciting trips I’ve been on and the first airplane trip I remember! One morning in January my mother and I drove to Rapid City airport to get on a flight to Minneapolis. In order to get through security and such, we needed to get there really early. When we arrived we went through security, which took what seemed like 2 hours, and went to go get food and drinks while we waited. Outside the weather was nice, but there was a little bit of fog which caused all of our flights to be delayed and overwhelming. We were fretting over whether we would make it in time for the game. This also annihilated some of our plans for that day. When we finally got to board the plane, it was super exciting! I had never flown on a plane before that I could remember. When my mom and I arrived in Minneapolis it was a gigantic airport and it took us a while to figure out which gate we were supposed to be at. My mom and I had about an hour wait for our flight so we went to get nutritious snacks and charge our phones before we boarded the next plane. When we finally began to board the plane it was getting dark outside and because of the delayed flight in Rapid we would fly in during the night. This plane, unlike the other one was massive and very smooth flying. I was sort of excited that My mom and I flew in at night because all of the lights, they were really intriguing. After we found our way out of the airport, My mom and I went to get something energizing to eat and went to our hotel. The next day we went to a really fascinating museum.
