Personal Narrative: My Mother

I am sitting at the dining room table finishing up my homework. Suddenly, I hear keys jingling and rattling at the door. As I get up to go over to the door my mother walks right in. She sounds and looks exhausted after a day of running errands and grocery shopping. I help her put her things down and help to put the groceries away. After that she makes food for my sisters and I and we all eat together. Once that is done she goes to take a couple hour nap before her next shift at work. I begin to realize that my mother is a powerful women and I really look up to her. In anything she does she makes sure she does her best and gets it done. She makes sure to help her family out. I have never met or admired anyone as strong, hard working, and dependable as my mom, Jeanne, and that is why I admire her. …show more content…

Obviously, being a single parent is not easy. It is a lot of hard work and takes a lot of courage and bravery. I would have to say my mother did a pretty good job raising us. She is able to provide us with things we want and more importantly what we need. She has taught us a lot of life lessons and has been supportive with options that we decide on. Most importantly, she pushes us to do our best in anything we do, especially in school. Being strong through a tough situation, like being a single parent, is one reason why my mother is admirable. Hard working is another trait that makes my mother admirable. My mother works two jobs. She takes as many shifts as she can to provide for us. She makes sure to give us what we need and what we want. She does her best to make sure to make money to pay bills and take care of us. If her schedule is busy, she makes sure to get everything done and done on time. I aspire to be my mother when I get older. My mother is very hardworking and that is why I admire
