Graduating college with my associates in Occupational healthcare, I had majored in Medical Assistant. I had just completed 16 months in an accelerated program. The next step was to land a job. So I perfected my resume and I applied to everywhere that was accepting applications. One day a friend informed me about an opening she saw online that an OB/GYN office for a front desk position so I decided that I will apply for the job just to gain some experience in the healthcare field. Everything went well with the application process and the job was mine. I started working on the first day without any training but I had basic knowledge of the Electronic medical record they were using. Walking into the office as excited as anyone can be, I’m ready. One worker said to me “Trust me you

My role as a geriatric nursing assistant created the beautiful experience of caring for the elderly in an assistant living facility. I learned, observe, and empathize with the seniors who are at the end stage of life. Through my experiences, I’ve witness loneliness, financial struggles, health challenges and a sense of belonging. Out of those top four, I would say loneliness is the biggest challenge that consumes their well-being. I’ve had conversations where one can feel the emptiness that filled these human beings heart. They want love, compassion, care and the feel that they matter. Some are lucky enough to have family members visit them every week, whereas others are on their own. The point of sitting in their rooms for hours when they
People that are interested in this line of work like activities that include leading, making decisions, and business. They have integrity, have leadership qualities, are able to take initiative, and are dependable people that can handle a high stress level. I learned from my results that I am more of social person and the interest profile would recommend me doing something that helps people or being of service to people, which I feel that I am able to do in this profession. I also was ranked highly in enterprising which means that I like persuading and leading people which I think is a great asset as well for being able to run a major facility and work with many different people this seems like these would be essential traits for this position. Further research has lead me to find a few more ideal characteristics to have. One being able to communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, customers, industry leaders, and hospital workers. I was told that I didn't get sick as much. Just like my dad, it was impossible for me to catch a cold or flu, but when it comes, it comes hard. I was a healthy kid throughout my childhood. I did break my arm once, when I was jumping on my mom's bed then accidentally fell off. It was the first and hopefully the last time I break a bone. Despite my strong invincible immune system, I did have many accidents. When I was ten years old, my brother accidentally cracked a little part of my occidental bone. My dad built a DIY wooden swing and my brother twisted the swing while I was under it. He let it go and the corner of the swing hit my head. When I was little, I had ulcers in my stomach that could've turned into stomach cancer.

Now that I have presented some terms from the class reading I will use them in creating my health plan. As being the director of strategic planning my main goal would be to encourage healthy behavior within the metropolitan area in which would help reduce tobacco use among the residents. The way I would promote healthy behavior is by creating various of small programs in the metropolitan area that would give the opportunity for the individual to seek guidance to stop the use of tobacco and make them realize how terrible it’s to take part in smoking to encourage them to live longer. In the programs it will present alternative methods to quite using tobacco and demonstrate demographic statics based on age, gender, and race of how many lives have
In an attempt to improve my health, I decided that for 30 days I would hydrate myself properly and exercise cardiovascularly 3 times a week. Every morning when I woke up, it was my goal to drink a large glass of water (estimated 18 oz) before doing anything else. It was also my goal to drink a large glass of water before every meal. I imagine that many people do not consider poor hydration a serious issue, but being properly hydrated is conducive for more regular body function. A few things that poorly hydrated people suffer, in the short term, are headaches, dizziness, and fatigue. As for exercising cardiovascularly, that is a simple response to the fact that I have high blood pressure. Anything to get my heart pumping is advised, and cardiovascular
My leadership experience involves National Honors Society, as well as interning at a veterinary clinic. I was in National Honors Society for 2 years, and advised newer members of the National Honors Society chapter to succeed in reaching the requirement to remain in National Honors Society. When members struggled finding time to meet the 10-hour requirement of community service hours, I assisted them in finding the time for community services to achieve the minimum 10 hours to remain in National Honors Society while considering both their high school and college classes.

In this paper I will speak of my leadership experiences as well as how my particular leadership style will continue to enhance and shape my role in the culture of the organization which I serve. Over the course of this class we have learned the skillsets (hard vs soft) as well as characteristics traits which make a great leader. Through the assignments, interactions with discussions boards, and group projects I have been able to determine what leadership theory I am best associated with. As discussed in chapter fourteen, the theory which best fits my leadership style is The Path-Goal Leadership Model. According to our textbook Management: A Practical Introduction by Angela Kinicki and Brian Williams, Robert House created and redevised this
Communicated with professionals and clients- Since I have never worked with patients before this fieldwork, I believe that my communication skills have definitely improved throughout this semester. I tried my hardest to exhibit clear nonverbal and verbal skills during my stay. During my first couple days, I noticed that I had less than positive nonverbal appearance to me. I would stand with my arms crossed or on my hips. I noticed this bad behavior, and I have learned to implicate a better look to me. I believe my educator saw my efforts to communicate as I as received exceptional scores in exhibiting a positive attitude, being respectful of others, and establishing a rapport. All the patients were eager to explain their problems to me. I saw a few patients’ multiple
