I remember my first bike. It was all I wanted that year. It was a Bratz lowrider with purple tassels on the handlebars, a purple banana suede seat, and huge wheels. When I got rid of my old baby bike and training wheels to move on to a “big girl bike”, I quickly learned that this was going to be extremely challenging. As I began to pedal, my handle bars wobbled, and the direction of the bike went off of the sidewalk. I knew I was in trouble because I crashed into a gate a few houses down and that was it.
