Kelly was born in Richmond, Va. and is a long -time Charlottean who came to the QC during his college years to get a fresh start. He has truly seen the evolution of Charlotte from a medium sized city to what has become quite a thriving metropolis. As a pacifist and the first QCU ambassador he was excited about the opportunity to become an advocate and activist promoting Queen City Unity's Mission. He comes from a diverse family and upbringing, which has fueled his desire to encourage inclusiveness in the community for all people. He enjoys working with other QCU Ambassadors and experiencing the diversity that is the Queen City. Furthermore, he finds it very rewarding to work on projects such as the coat sock and pajama

Billy Thompson and Sam Westfield were similar in many ways. Since a young age they both has excelled at sports and both loved more then anything, the sport of football. While growing up, the boys did not know each other and probably thought they would never have too. But all of that changed with the diagnosis.
Contribution is essential because it show that we are focused on the issue, people can also benefit from our individual thoughts and ideas. As a member of the Suzanne Cory High School Community, I would give back to the community with my talents and achievement in my perspectives and beliefs through my contributions.
Gene Kelly was born on August 23, 1912 in a working class neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a dancer, actor, director, and choreographer that brought a different approach to the dance and production world. Thus, he was one of five children, including two brothers and two sisters. While he was growing up, instead of playing baseball with the neighborhood friends he decided to take dance lessons due to his moms influence. Kelly attended Peabody High School and continued his education at Pennsylvania State College. However, he studied economics throughout college but finding a job was difficult during that time during the Depression (Krebs). During his college career he taught at a local dance studio to help pay for his education, while performing with his brother Fred, with where they then performed in a theater for children at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1934 (Overview of Gene Kelly).
A calm crisp breeze circled my body as I sat emerged in my thoughts, hopes, and memories. The rough bark on which I sat reminded me of the rough road many people have traveled, only to end with something no one in human form can contemplate.
Sisters have a special bond with each other. Having a brother just isn’t the same. Having a sister means that you will always have someone to talk to. Especially when you have an older sister to look up to, then you really spend time together. Kelly and I are sisters, and we have made a lot of memories over the past 13 years of my life.
Nothing could be worst than your dad bringing up "THE CONVERSATION." Starting at age 5 I loved playing soccer, running up and down the field, making moves and kicking balls to the back of the net was always the way to go. Soccer meant the world to me and especially playing with my best friends since the day I started. My days would go something like this, go to school, get home,do homework then get ready and go to a beautiful fun day at soccer! After soccer I would go home sit on the couch and eat.I was a lazy one. That's why I hoped my dad would never ever bring up this conversation.... But he did anyways.
Do you have a interesting story about something that has happened to you? Well, I sure have one. This event may be enjoyable for you, but it definitely was not for me! This event is the most scary thing that has happened to me. I never thought this scary incident would give me a good lesson.
One day a little girl who lived in the Lehigh valley her whole life found out some news that was going to change her life forever, I was that little girl. It was the summer of 2011 and I was at Brookside Country Club a place that I spent most of my summer. I was eating dinner with my family after a long day of swimming with my friends. We had just ordered dessert and my dad told my brother and I to go in the parking lot and wait for him because he had something to tell us. At this moment I was scared I thought to myself oh no someone in my family had passed away. My dad came outside smiling so I soon realized it wasn’t something sad. I look at my older brother hoping his facial expression would help me come up with how I should be acting.
It was my fault, no one else’s, the time where failure hit harder than someone beating a drum. End of spring 2013 I found out that I was repeating the grade all over again, never have I imagined myself being in that position till that year. Leading up to this was beginning of ninth grade year, terrified knowing that I wasn't going to know anybody I was going to be alone. I went through so much emotionally it began to show the first few weeks of high school. Constantly having anxiety attacks where I end up staying the entire day in the office since I kept crying eyes out.
I awoke to the noise of my friends yelling and laughing next door. It was a bright sunshiny day. The breeze through the window was nice and warm. My mom was at work, but my dad was home. I spent the day playing next door until my mom got home from work. My dad left for work every day at 3:30pm. I ran down the side of the fence until there was a break that I went through to get through my yard. Once I got in doors my mom told me that we were going to head into town, and I asked if my friend, Brittany, could come with us. She said that would be fine and to just run to her house and let her mom know. Who knew this trip into town was going to be a big deal and a lot of trouble.
On a humid afternoon, I remember sitting on that old renovated school bus, wearing denim shorts and an old tee, completely soaked in mucky water from head to toe. When my mom told me about the weeklong adventure camp that was completely free for military dependent kids, I suppose I was unprepared for the level of adventuring in store. With her dad stationed in Alaska, my best friend Yarish also came with me to Clemson, South Carolina where it was held in July 2012.
