Professor Suzanne Cory’s studies and career reflected on three specific values; Respect, Aspiration and Contribution. These values that the Suzanne Cory High School community follow match my personal values, and as a member of the Suzanne Cory High School community, I would strive to apply these values to every aspect of my life as I have been doing so far. Respect shows that one values another as an individual. It should be applied whether you are in the classroom, the playing field or at home. Respect is vital quality that I would habitually present as member of the Suzanne Cory High School Community. Aspiration is the ambition of achieving one’s desires with a passion. Suzanne Cory said, “It’s the excitement of being on the frontier.” She knew the thrill of being on the verge of making a discovery because of her passion for what she did. Contribution is essential because it show that we are focused on the issue, people can also benefit from our individual thoughts and ideas. As a member of the Suzanne Cory High School Community, I would give back to the community with my talents and achievement in my perspectives and beliefs through my contributions. This is my first year in Melbourne and it’s been great so far, however my current school, Werribee Secondary College hasn’t allowed me to embrace my talents and to improve on my weaker areas. My previous school in Sydney is called Hornsby Girls High School, which averagely ranks 5th in NSW High School Rankings. I learnt so much and enjoyed my time there, as it showed in my results.
