Personal Narrative: How Technology Has Affected Their Purpose

Over the years, the generations of humans have evolved to rely more on technology. After years of being told that I am stuck on the tv screen and I need to go outside more, I decided to gather info from my family’s generations to find out what their point in life in that time period was. It will be my job to find how technology affected their purpose. The compelling question that I had asked my family was “What is your point in life.” The answers that I received from my client were barely modified just to where we could understand what the client meant and get them to relate to a purpose. When she had gotten older, she started working at a sewing factory that has provided many stores with fabric goods that most likely satisfied many people with better items. That fire had a purpose as well though. Had it not been that her house burned down, I would have only gotten to see my great-grandmother once or twice a year. She may not have even gotten to live this far because she used to smoke before the fire. My grandparents had barely had any purpose, except for my mother’s father. He grew up wanting to join the air force. Unfortunately, he never made it to the air force because he had found a new purpose: raising kids. As of now, is making an impact on his grandkids and is waiting for retirement. My mother’s mother is the same way, except when she was a child, she was always trying to improve herself at doing anything and making her parents proud. My father’s parents never really had a purpose as children. They lived just to be alive.
