Overcoming Obstacles In A Basketball Team

Many obstacles are encountered through life, and some of them stick out because they change the perspective of those who’ve endured them. For me, one of those obstacles was joining the basketball team without ever having played 5 on 5 coached basketball. Such a task would have been seen as impossible to others, seeing as I joined the team my junior year in high school. Most of the things said were that I, an inexperienced athlete, should quit and that I would never be successful. But that wasn’t the only hardship about my predicament.
First, a little background information should be given. I first became interested in the very popular sport when I transferred into Chisholm Middle School out of homeschool which I had been in from the third to the 8th grade. Being around as many people as I was, it was hard to fit in. Mostly, I was socially awkward and talked to everyone all the time. This gave people the impression that I was a “loser.” Because many people didn’t care to conjugate with me, I found something else to do with my time. At first, I would only spectate others because I was afraid of embarrassing myself. But one day, one of my friends, Xavior, was on the court shooting. I decided to join him. It was the most fun I’d had since I enrolled, henceforth, I would continue to play
