Overcoming Obstacles

To overcome an obstacle means to overcome any obstruction a person has overlooked with in the bygone or in the present-day. In my opinion, I see obstacles as an opportunity to discover and germinate from any faults a person could have assembled during the journey. I have overcome many obstacles in my past but the main obstacle that has refined my life for the greater good was when I was 7 years old. My brother has constantly been very strict with me yet I now notice that he only did that so that later on in a way it would make me a robust human. We never really experience thoughts when faced with an obstacle. Discouragement can stop us from overcoming an obstacle. Never let your thoughts or emotions stop you, observe the obstacle as you would if someone else is facing it.

Some obstacles may be overcome but not always, if not, we should still not give up but look from a different perspective. One of the many obstacles I have overcome was the fear of rollercoasters. My brother and I went to Magic Mountain when I was 7 years old, he informed me that if I didn’t get on all the nerve-racking roller coasters, he would never come back here with me. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone to overcome an obstacle. I see now how overcoming this fear has made me a stronger person by feeling as if I could accomplish anything in life. I believe that we shouldn’t put obstacles aside without attempting it.

Most obstacles may be potential by setting goals for ourselves so that we can stay motivated in achieving that target. Journeys may take a long and extended duration. For example, in the movie “The Odyssey” Odysseus had to
