For this assignment, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. Eric James. Our interview shades light on the fact that all employees perspective on organizational structure is not always as it appears in black and white. He is currently employed with Carolina HealthCare System (CHS) a medical organization. He has been employed with this organization for over seven years preceding the completion of his military term. Coming from the United States Navy Mr. James views on organizational structure and culture was completely different from his experiences that he has had since employed with CHS. James was asked to describe in three words, “Administratively Run Mess”. So we explored this perspective of Mr. James option of CHS. The organization in a whole is running mostly of a hierarchy of administrative business degrees but an urgent care needs a lot of the medical knowledge of what goes on on the ground floor of this type of organization. Mr. James is employed at an urgent care facility where the same structure method of a clinic or medical office are sometimes not applicable to the urgent care environment. This can most likely be corrected with some bottom-up communication from the subordinates and middle managers to help improve the flow and functional structure of the organization. I asked Mr. James has he ever attempted to contact to upper managers with suggestions that he feels will improve the flow and overall patient experience. Yes, he has. He notes that he would suggest things and there would be an attempt to work toward it, then there was a change in management or lack of follow through. This case examines the multiple duties that the President and CEO of Midvale Community Hospital, Terry Blaze, participated in throughout the day to ensure that the hospital is running effectively. Throughout the day, Blaze attends numerous meetings, which are directed towards improvements, changes, or concerns that will overall affect the hospital. During several of them, he is required to make final decisions however, he often directs other personnel to make that final judgment call. It was evident that Blaze wore many hats as the President and CEO of the hospital, which made it evident that his time was stretched thin. This could result in tasks going unfinished or completed incorrectly. Some mistakes that may be made may have a major negative impact on the hospital therefore it is pertinent for Blaze to ensure that he is using his time wisely.
I am not sure who made the term "dress for success" popular but I believe the term falls short. Anyone can dress up and look great but there is much more to success then dressing the part. While it is important for organizations to have their employees presenting themselves with a professional look and manner, there are also many other concepts within an organization that need to be addressed.

Due to WellStar being a multi facility health system, its organizational design is constantly being reviewed for simpler and more efficient processes. WellStar’s two smallest hospitals, WellStar Paulding and WellStar Douglas, previously under went reconstruction with regards to their hierarchical structure in Patient Access Services (PAS). What is organizational behavior? Prior to this course, I had never known that much of what is organizational behavior and in which ways it can impact the organization. Initially, over the course my knowledge about OB was expanded.
Throughout this essay I hope to analyse theoretical organizational behaviour by drawing on my own experiences from working in groups. The groups I am going to use as part of my examples are all from formal groups. Huczynski and Buchanan (2007, p. 291) gives a good definition of Formal groups in a few bullet-points, where one of them is task-orientation which in my opinion has clearly characterized the groups I am talking about. The groups are not necessarily consisting of like-minded people, but individuals randomly picked by the lecturer/tutor which in many cases leads to different disagreements as the groups try to establish itself and the members of the group try to find their role within the group. Bruce Tuckman came up with a theory in the 1960s to explain how a group goes through several different stages on its way to success, which is known as the Tuckmans Stages of Group Development (Anon 2009, 12manage.com).
