Recommended: One child policy in India essay

Have you ever wanted to be a single child or if you were one, you have dreamt of having a sibling. Well, in China you were forced against your will to have only one child. In China, Mao Zedong was a communist and needed more people to build the population up. Soon after, they had so much people that they were all crammed in a small country. They soon came up with a one-child policy. In 2015, the government saw how it affected the people and allowed all couples to have two kids. Was having the one child policy benefiting the Chinese? Having this policy was bad for the people of China because it was painful for females, caused depression, and created a gender imbalance. The one child policy had females suffering all over. Not having the choice of determining your family size caused emotional costs. Females were also forced to have abortions on their second prefabices can cause damage to their mental and physical health. If the mother figure gave birth to a second child. The child would not get healthcare or allowed to go to school. This in a mother's eye is very depressing. According to Xiao Xuan, only-child daughter, says that she “used to cut myself on my wrist after being yelled at by my mom and dad because I didn't know who I should talk to or turn to.” This incident didn't just happen to one person. It spread through the country. Xiao believes that the one-child policy should be blamed for the social issues of youth and how it was “ridiculous” how the government interference on people's families across China.
