Odysseus, the Good and the Bad
Odysseus is the king of Ithaca, a husband and a father. He was also a former commander in the Trojan War, and is the flawed beloved hero of the tale of homecoming and revenge. His character is deeply contradictory, cunning champion, plaything of the gods, a wise commander and a vainglorious braggart. After the Trojan War, it left him swollen with fame and pride. Odysseus seeks adventure on his way home and his journey brought much defeat and humiliation. When he land on the shores of Ithaca, he was a man who was wiser, humbler, more pious and reserved.
