Everyone has challenges and obstacles they have to face. Life is a journey of ups and downs. In the myth, The Odyssey by Homer, Homer uses many metaphors to explain Odysseus’ journey similar to every man’s life journey. Many people set goals to get through everyday life. Personally, I have my own goal to graduate from Carlsbad High School with a high grade point average. Odysseus’ goal was to return home to see his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. To achieve your goals you need mentors/support, resist temptation, and must overcome your challenges.
