This book was not what i was expecting, it was a spiritual and life changing, i could not drop the book. I learned a lot of things that i can apply to my life on a daily basis. This book changed my outlook on life and that in life one must follow their dreams but also enjoy the small things in life. The book taught me that everything happens for a reason and we should take life one day at a time. This book taught me not to dwell on the past or try predicting the future because it does nothing, but make life more stressful for me.
By drinking you become dependent on the alcohol and then you tend to put that before your family and friends. Getting your next drink is all you are thinking about. Parents who drink a lot may treat their children badly. They might ignore them; they might abuse them physically and verbally. They may even make them feel as if they are not worth very much.
This class got me thinking about studying abroad to help build a thesis and how am I going to taking psychology and disability studies to graduate school. This class helped teach me that the sky 's the limit and that if I work for it I can do whatever I set my mind too. A professor that helped us see and understand things we never thought of. To stretch the limits of our abilities and to keep pushing. Now more than ever I am more determined than ever to open up my own gym for special needs kids but now I want it to also cater to people with mental illness.
As I gradually make my way through this semester, I have come to realize that I am called to go into Psychology. I love watching people and trying to figure out why they act the way that they do. I, also, love knowing that I have finally figured out what careers I want to pursue. I want to become either a clinical or counseling psychologist, which both have the same requirements for everything – majors , classes, ect. So, I do not have to decide right off the bat on which career I want to pursue.
High school psychology courses discusses the basics of the human brain and classified the personalities of human beings. In my psychology course, a higher level college course, it provided me insight about the personality of a variety of people. As opposed to classifying an indi... ... middle of paper ... ...business courses, speech classes, etc. Therefore it is mandatory that one have a college education so that they may profit from these conceptions in each segment of their adult life. In conclusion, a college is a necessary goal that one must achieve to have infinite achievement.
There is nothing simple about going to school to learn a new trade. I have learned how to be patient throughout my journey because I have no other choice. I am the only one that knows exactly what I need and I am the only one that will do what it takes to get it. I deserve to succeed in all areas of my life because I work hard daily to maintain the things that I have going on. I do not procrastinate by waiting to the last minute to complete my schoolwork, chores, and office work.
My high school psychology course intrigued my desire to pursue psychology in college and the courses offered at State University furthermore solidified my interest to continue in this field. I took a particular interest in theories of personality and upon completing cognitive psychology, I wish to obtain a clinical neuropsychology certificate in conjunction with a doctor of psychology in clinical psychology. Throughout my work experience in a market research phone room center, I have encountered many personalities and had the ability to observe how their social contexts has shaped and affected each individual. I am interested in learning and obtaining a better understanding of how various social factors affect individuals. As a part of my undergraduate work, I conducted an independent research project examining trust and attachment style as possible factors that influence conflict resolution.
When the clamor of the alarm woke me to the new day, my motivation to trudge out of bed was the opportunity to work toward my goal. Knowing that the reward was head, the drive to obtain it did not allow for obstacles to halt my journey. During the process of receiving an education, the daily routine of attending class can be a deterrent to keep one from becoming successful. There will inevitably be times of stress, and the desire to quit will arise. Unless the aim is deemed worthy enough, the necessary sacrifices will not be made.
Seeking after an experts degree is a task I owe to myself as well as an obligation I have to others. I refer to it as a task because I have a positive viewpoint on life, which makes me keenly seek and go after the things that I want to complete in life. I refer to it as an obligation because I want to be a paradigm to others of the attainments and also add to the society. For many years, I have been interested in studying business psychology, my interest in pursuing this field, stems from several factors which have affected me. First; before and during my time spent at the Ekiti State University, I worked in various jobs both academic and non-academic related.
In a world that is all about how fast you can get things and how well you do it, time is essential, but is getting that work done more important than taking time spend with loved ones or showing that you care? That is a question I kept asking myself during this period. We live in a selfish world where sometimes we are taught to put our needs in front of others and there is no such thing as being “too busy”. A phrase that I say constantly, as well as many others is: “I don’t have the time for…” or “Sorry, I can’t. I’m too busy”.
