When it comes to work or resolving conflicts with other I listen to both sides to try and get a better understanding when making a decision. I have a strong belief in team work and making sure everyone is treated properly. I make sure everyone gets credit for what they contributed. I would say my limits are I tend to be slow to react, I do not like to make quick decisions. I believe I am very good with commutation, however I tend to be uncomfortable in social, I prefer small groups and I do not do well being the center of attention. I believe these are things I need to improve on.
When it comes to performance, I want everyone to have an input as to what they feel would best help in completing a project. I assigned personnel’s to certain tasks, other who I feel have the optical to do more I delegate the task of monitoring others. One of my skills at work is the fact that I never let go of something once I am committed to it. Getting things done right the first time is always my goal but, I am not afraid to continue working on something until it is perfect. Another strength I have is my ability to create quality-based work, I am a very hard working individual and do my best at completing the job correctly. Something I often get compliments on is how my personal code of ethics is very strong. When I am at my best. I am able to prioritize with leadership the needs of the people and/or organization that I am working with before mine. I strategically plan to overcome whatever challenge emerges in the developing or planning of a team project. In addition, I am dedicated and positive throughout the entire process. One thing I find significant is factory farming. I felt that factory farming is wrong and should be stopped immediately. We were asked to create a PowerPoint document and text file for a company which deals with insurance because the company had found out that their I.T support staff have been spending more time answering phone calls rather than their other duties of installations and network maintenance as part of the team working in computing unit. At the start I was very passive when we were giving out the roles but luckily my other team members did not have that problem and were more outgoing from the get go than I was. I believe my positive attitude towards work and helping others allowed me to work effectively as part of a team. I was proactive and always asked my senior colleagues if they required any assistance. This attitude allowed me to carry out important duties such as drafting pre contract enquiries and analysing office copies. Moreover, I was happy to help staff members in other departments such as Criminal and Family. I have collated bundles for the family department and assisted in the archiving process for the criminal department.
Each member is comfortable in finding their place and can feel a sense of belonging within the team. As a team member, I portrayed the roles of a team player and a researcher. I may not be the brain of the group, but I was very eager to help and became a reliable member that follows-through on tasks to resolve conflicts. Also, I became a researcher too, at some point. In a team-oriented setting, everyone contributes to how well the group succeeds overall. You work with fellow members of the group to complete the work that needs to be done. Having the right people in the correct roles is an important factor in measuring the success of a team, where you are united with the other members to complete the main goals. Every group is made up of definite strengths and weaknesses. Our team's 3-5 major strengths necessary to work accordingly consist of Informer, Summarizer, Orienter, Piggy-Backer, and Encourager. One of our strengths as a team is that we get input from everyone involved. Every member of our team is a leader in some way. Part of being a good leader is knowing how important it is to receive the best ideas from each member of their team. We attend group meetings where we discuss any challenges, issues, and problems. At these meetings, we often exchange ideas or brainstorm new ones with each other and come up with the best and most creative team solutions as potential answers to those perceived problems.
