Recommended: Narrative essay my experience in the army

“Ok class make sure you all really think about this because there is people out there that need your help, you will be graduating soon and if you miss the cut off you have to wait till next year.” Mr.Potter is trying to convince his U.S History students to join the Military and armed forces as they will soon be graduating and the economy is not strong enough. The United States of America (1936) needs more troops and more man power. But as Dex considers joining, he knows his parents are very strict about him ever going. He has had this conversation with his parents before. Of course mom is more strict about it because she most definitely does not want to lose her only son. The deadline to sign the papers and be sent off to the base located in South Carolina is on Saturday morning at 7am. Dex approaches mother and father and asks them to have a talk. “Mom, dad, can you guys please have a seat, i really need to talk to you about something important.) Mom suspects she knows what this is about but doesn't say anything just incase she is wrong. “I been waiting to tell you this and the deadline is this saturday, I want to join the military and fight for my country. We don't have as much troops as we should and I take pride in what I do. I want to help this country and fight for my privileges. He understands that 82% of troops that are sent out so South Carolina for military training are sent out to fight the war currently going on in Syria by boat. This is where mother especially gets a sense of ferociousness go through her body. She wants to say so many things she can't even think straight. “DEXTER I TOLD YOU WHEN YOU WERE 13 AND I WILL TELL YOU AGAIN! YOU WILL NEVER JOIN ANY OF THE ARMED FORCES AND PUT YOUR LIFE ON THE LINE FOR NOTHING.” Zayne (mother of Dex) did not understand what it meant to take pride in something that you do.
You may be wondering. Well what does the father have to say about this? Well, truth be told, he is on Dexter's side but most definitely does not want to fight mom on it. He understands pride and dignity and taking pride in what he does but he is too scared to speak out on this …show more content…

Well Jane, the daughter of Dexter's mother, the most valuable thing to her. Has decided to hear out Dex and go against mother on this. Once Jane said something mother immediately felt so many types of emotions that nothing anyone said from there on even registered in her mind. It was mind boggling and just outrageous. This all took place in one day on a monday afternoon after school was out. The next 3 days there was no interaction between the family at all. Not even father to son. But Dex isn't going to give up here. He told his teacher about what is going on that Friday before the deadline on saturday, he immediately goes to the wall phone , dials Zayne (the mother) phone number.
