The deadline to sign the papers and be sent off to the base located in South Carolina is on Saturday morning at 7am. Dex approaches mother and father and asks them to have a talk. “Mom, dad, can you guys please have a seat, i really need to talk to you about something important.) Mom suspects she knows what this is about but doesn't say anything just incase she is wrong. “I been waiting to tell you this and the deadline is this saturday, I want to join the military and fight for my country. We don't have as much troops as we should and I take pride in what I do. I want to help this country and fight for my privileges. Well Jane, the daughter of Dexter's mother, the most valuable thing to her. Has decided to hear out Dex and go against mother on this. Once Jane said something mother immediately felt so many types of emotions that nothing anyone said from there on even registered in her mind. It was mind boggling and just outrageous. This all took place in one day on a monday afternoon after school was out. The next 3 days there was no interaction between the family at all. Not even father to son.
