I feel that I have expanded writing skills, but I need to keep improving them to be prepared for the real world. Over the course I have grown and learned more than I thought possible. I have learned here how to write and express myself, and how to think for myself. This essay demonstrates that I have developed my communication and personal thinking skills. However, I need to keep working on many aspects such as word choice and sentence structure.
Writing has never been my forte. While it has been a difficult semester, I believe that my writing skills have improved. I corrected errors that I repeated very often in all my essays. I decided to follow his advice and change my style for the second paper. In my second essay ( ' 'Allegory of the Cave Summary ' ') I started in a different way and I wrote, ' ' Socrates was talking with Glaucon and he began to explain how light and darkness are found within the nature of a human’’ ( ' 'Introduction. ' ') In this way I received better feedback from the teacher. Another example comes from my essay "Business or Sport?" In that essay, I turned to be wrong with my style again and I went back into the formality. The first body paragraph opened with, ' 'Soccer is one of the various sports where inflation grew tremendously. ' ' My instructor suggested me to not use complex words. In my third essay, I repeat twice the same information in my introduction. Without realizing I wrote, "Money changed soccer in the 90s to how it is today" and at the end of the paragraph I wrote, ' 'There are many contrasts between soccer from the 90s and the presents thanks to the money’’ (Business or Sport-Introduction. ' ') The instructor indicated me that when you repeat the same information over and over the reader feels overwhelm. I made this mistake unconsciously, then in the other essays I had to review many times my content. In spite of that, I continued to have small problems and I continued to repeat myself. In the introduction of my essay "Mexican Drug War" I explain, ' 'Drug cartel made Mexico a dangerous place to live ' ', then, I wrote, ' 'This war made Mexico become one of the most dangerous countries in the world. ' ' The teacher stressed me this error in the majority of my work. In my last essay the teacher told me that this time I did not repeat myself. With all this, I learned to be more focused on the revision of the information that I write. In fact, in this way is how I developed personal responsibility
