When skills are applied, students demonstrate their knowledge and ability to function in our current world. I value critical thinking in our students so they can extend their knowledge and skills to solve complex problems benefitting our present and future. I value citizenship and feel that education has a responsibility to model and nurture character qualities in our students. Educating students is raising them equipped with tools that will enable them to function as contributing participants in a productive society. Knowledge, skills, critical thinking, and citizenship are educational values at the core of developing a student ready for the world’s challenges.

Education in the United States allows the future to progress and create a country that encompasses able individuals. As a Progressivist and Essentialist, my students are the center of learning, planning and progressing. As the nurturer in my classroom, my students will continue to develop into proficient individuals that will make a positive impact on their environment. I will guide my students to choose their own way of learning by aligning curriculum to each individual. By individualizing learning, my students will develop and progress on their own level, which will lead to success.
the characteristics of an ideal early childhood classroom is to set goals and meet the developmental needs of each child by promoting quality care according to NAEYC Standards for Early Childhood Education. One more characteristic is to stimulate children with choices of materials, learning and welcoming environment, engagement activities, good relationship with peers and teachers, and enhance children’s learning and development. How we, as teachers, get our messages across will definitely influence the student’s ability to apply that knowledge. The Pragmatic approach to education involves placing the students as a number one priority. This type of classroom environment would give the child an opportunity to make decisions, which is a crucial part of living a successful life in today’s societies. I would provide a classroom with a helpful and productive atmosphere.

I believe that students should learn in a safe, caring, and understanding environment. As professional educators, we should provide this safe and open-minded environment. The ways to ensure this environment is to make sure students are actively involved in their education, to make sure teachers are providing the best materials for students to learn, and to make sure parents and the community are involved in students education.
