The one that stood with me and cared for me the most, my mother Melania Marte de Santos. Ever since I could remember, my mother has always been the one to support me both physically and mentally. She is the one that gave birth to both me and my little sister. My mother, just like myself, was born in The Dominican republic, a small Hispanic island in the Caribbean. Back when we lived in D.R., my father lived in the Bronx, New York working in our behalf in order to support us and to someday bring us to the United States. Because of this, I lived most of my childhood alongside my mother. She has taught me and my little sister a great deal of things such as the things I should do and the things I should avoid doing. With both her warm, kind side and her high demanding side, she has been the greatest mother I could ask for. She is and has been an authoritative mother. …show more content…

When I was in elementary, I remember she would always demand me to focus in school and to not stay up late playing in my friend’s house. I remember when I was in elementary, she told me not to go through my neighbor’s backyard in order to go to my friends house which was next to it. Back then I thought that her request was unreasonable since I didn’t see any harm in going through there. However, I was not aware that I was ruining our neighbor's backyard by going through there. Another time when she was really demanding was when she told would tell me to eat breakfast in the morning. Ever Since I could remember I never did like eating in the norming, not even today. However, back then I was not aware that eating breakfast in the morning is part of a healthy diet. My mother has always demanded things for me not because she likes to be annoying, but because she cares about me. Along with her caring demandingness, she is also very warm and
