In 800 BC the first recovered piece of music was found. It was written in cuneiform and it was a religious hymn. Its vital to humanities because these are the earliest forms of music reading, its what later helps make music production . This event influenced music in that it shows how early the human mind thought of making readings for music which would later help people develop better thinking ideas for music composition.
In 600 BC the famed mathematician Pythagoras dissected music and developed the keystone of modern music: the octave scale. The importance of this event to humanities is obvious.
