Culture is a reflection of numerous aspects of given type of peoples. Varying from location to the religions the culture is heavily dependent upon what given norms are accepted and traditions practiced. Using Morocco as a baseline to compare and contrast culturally to Italy and Israel, they will have amazing cultural precedencies and traditional norms to analyze and correlate. Morocco is a nation with an abundance of cultural wealth. The country was originally inhabited by the Berber people. These people lived in medium to large familial tribes. There was no officially recognized government over the land. When invited to a Moroccan's home there are certain things one must do. First, they should remove your shoes and immediately proceed to greet everyone there. “When meeting with some one of the same sex but do not have a relationship, it is common for only a handshake, once a relationship has been developed, it is common to kiss on both cheeks, starting with the left cheek while shaking hands, men with men and women with women. In any greeting that does take place between men and women, the woman must extend her hand first. If she does not, a man should bow his head in greeting” . One should preferably bring sweet pastries, nuts, figs, dates or flowers to the hostess. Do not bring alcohol unless you know that your host drinks. Gifts are not opened when received. This nation hold the birth place of many faiths, this draws a multitude of cultures into one huge mixing pot. Since a large consensus of Israel and Morocco is made up of Jewish and Muslim people it seems appropriate to contrast and compare the two given their different location yet similar religious mix. The country of Israel includes two distinct nationalities, there are Palestinians and the more prominent Jews. Each nationality is inextricable from its religious identity.
