Moonport Film Analysis Paper By: Ashby Jones The space program has a bigger impact on the economy than many may think. They are an influence to schools, hospitals and much more. People that work in the space industry have a lot going on in their days. The moonport film shows a lot of what they do and what they work for. Not only that but it shows the importance of what they do. NASA and the space program influence Florida’s growth because it gives companies better profit. For example, libraries. Authors can write about the space industry and so that produces more books for people to buy. The film puts forth that many are needed to provide the services and goods that space workers and their family needs. This statement shows that the consumers market would be something that is influenced by the space program. This film also says “Transportation to his newest is but a step, here where the impact of space has marked almost everything.” This tells the viewers that many people and companies are impacted. For starters, Florida was a smaller community. Everyone came together to watch the rockets launch and not a whole lot of people in Florida do that today. Florida also did not have as great of technology back then as they do now. The film states “Telemetry, a method by which small sensors in the space vehicle send back weak signals to electronic ear.” The words “small sensors” and “send back weak signals” shows that the technology in Moonport, Florida is not as advanced as it is today.
