Background: A) yes, I have been a procrastinator I always leave papers till the weekend to do it or math homework. I always leave it and I can't enjoy my free time without thinking that I need to do the homework. I have to admit I do turn in lower quality work when I procrastinate but rarely do I leave It until the very last day. When I do work on the homework I feel stressed because I do all of it at once. On rarest occasion I am late to classes because I have to print it in the library in the morning. B) my self-lies are that I always tell myself that I will do it tomorrow. When tomorrow comes I keep saying the same thing until my back is against the wall and I need to do it. I always take a nap first before my homework and its been working …show more content…
I would say the amount of homework. I feel overwhelmed sometimes when I see how much its required and how much time it's going to take for me to finish it. There's a lot of distractions for me and one of the biggest ones would be x box or playing with my dogs and being with my family. These distractions sometimes take a lot of my time but I still find ways to get some work done. I get some work done in the morning, evening and night. That way I have some work done and I'm not stressed when I do two days before the deadline. Tips that would help me would be having a to do list. I can see what I need to do for that day and get it done in small quantities throughout the day. Avoiding multi-tasking can help me get better work done and a more quality paper. Minimizing transportation would help me a lot because I drive 2 hours every day and, in that time, I can get a lot of work done in the buss. Limit social commitments during week. My friends and I always plan when we play x box and sometimes I play instead of getting work done so that tip would help me greatly. Buying a printer can help me a lot too when I'm rushing to Wenatchee to print a paper before …show more content…
I spend most of my day school if not I'm doing homework and working out. A) I haven’t been delaying with homework right now, but I am delaying looking for a house in Cheney for when I transfer to EWU. I always think about it but I don’t take any steps to look for One or to even call. B) I tend to use anything to delay such as: Xbox, sports, school, commuting, and socializing. C) I keep telling myself ill dot it tomorrow or ill plan for it but since it's not that important yet I keep forgetting about it. D) If I keep brushing it off and forgetting about it I will have nowhere to live and be forced to live in the dorms for not finding somewhere to rent. 3) I delay because It takes a lot to look for house especially for three

are efficient. But the most effective are create week schedule and plan my work each day because in this two strategies I can make adjustment at the weekend because as we know the weekend is the largest block of spare time, it may be helpful to complete tasks that take longer than planned and I also use the daily activity table with column of tasks prioritizing. The least effective strategies are testing my work each fifteen days and adjusting my plans each day.
Chances are, if you approach a college student, and ask them about deadlines, the word procrastination will linger in their head for the duration of the conversation. Most students prefer to leave their homework until the last minute which results in a poorly written essay. Throughout high school, I too have learned the hard way that leaving a homework assignment until the night before brings upon the consequences of both a bad grade and a lack of sleep. I harshly learned one day that just by putting the date of the night before the assignment was due, the professor would automatically skim through the assignment and was fully aware of the lack of effort and responsibility of mine in actually thinking ahead and making better decisions. Now in college, the one word that automatically
The best way to procrastinate is to interact with other people. That way you can lay part of the blame on someone else: "Well, Mom was talking to me about something important. I couldn't just walk away." I prefer to talk on the phone to friends who go to schools far away. We usually don't talk too often, so when we do, we have to make it count. For those that who don't want to spend a mountain of money on phone bills, any kind of messaging system on the Internet is a great way to communicate.
It's not your problem, right - incorrect. Your inabilities in time management are likely to have significant knock on influences for others. To-do list: Theoretically a to-do list may consist of all of the actions that you have to do over a specified period

People who procrastinate overtime have it as a deeply ingrained habit. Are there ways to put off and avoid procrastinating? Off course there are. Knowing that you are procrastinating is the first step. Making efforts to stop is the greatest thing you can do for yourself.
The definition of procrastination is: the action of delaying or postponing something. Tim Urban, who conducts a speech called Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator for TED in 2016, explains that every human is a procrastinator- some more than others. I agree with everything he says in his speech because I can connect with every piece of evidence he claims, mostly including that there is a “Panic Monster” that pops up in your brain when you are close to a deadline and haven’t gotten anything done, especially when it comes from why I’m always so stressed out about school. There are two different kinds of procrastination: deadline and non-deadline. (Urban, 2016) Everyone that I have ever met is a procrastinator
Procrastination is hard for me, mainly because I have a bad habit of waiting to do an assignment closer
I am a 4.0 student and I have never consciously missed an assignment since I have been in college. I am fully aware that this is not only bad, but it goes against my beliefs of work ethic. This probably hindered my positive self-image the most of all of the examples. I figured the assignments were not worth many points at all, so I purposely missed them to focus on another assignment, and when I received the zero I immediately felt the discomfort wash over me. To reduce my discomfort I once again justified my actions by adding a new cognition. This time I used self-affirmation which is " a way of reducing dissonance by reminding oneself of one or more of one's positive attributes" (Aronson, 2016, pg. 160). I simply told myself that I was a very good student, that I made good grades, and that I completed all of the other assignments. This did, in the end, reduce a lot of my discomfort, but I also plan on learning from this experience, and not repeating
There are many different parts to time management, such as procrastination, strategy, organization, expectations and being prepared. All of them contribute equally in many ways. All of the things that we have spoken about in this paper are highly recommended. The best thing to do when it comes to time management is to set a strategy, become organized and do your best to avoid procrastination. When you manage your time make sure you include the following; studying, sleeping, eating, relaxing and other necessary things. No matter what our circumstances are, we can all use some time management skills in our lives.
Most humans have habits, habits in which they do simply because if they do not do them they feel uncomfortable. Procrastination is one of those habits that not all, but most people suffer from. Procrastination means to put off key things to do less important things that could possibly wait. It has been proving that all most everyone procrastinates, but procrastination does not determine what type of person one is. Procrastination is like a virus or a bad cold that does not want to go away. If one does not stop the problem it will get bigger; therefore, if people do not control their procrastinating they will start to do it more. However, the worst time to procrastinate is in college. College students often forget hoe important time is. Being a procrastinator can lead to several different outcomes. Procrastination can led to either good or bad outcomes. It all depends on the person doing the procrastinating. Procrastination is not always meant to happen; sometimes it simply happens because a person is too busy. Procrastination has both good and bad causes and effects, can cause failure, and bad decisions.
I give my utmost attention to the easiest or stress-free things (regardless of their priority status) on my to-do list. Rather than put more efforts into getting the more important tasks done, I judge each thing-to-do based on the date of submission. As a result, I end up crammin...
