Many believe that minors shouldn’t have social media because of the immature behavior of some. Although many abuse the privilege to have social media, many use it to connect with other around the world and share their creative works and express themselves. Minors should have access to social media because it serves as a creative outlet to share ideas with others their age. Minors use social media and webpages to express themselves creatively. As featured on GUM-MAG, 17 year old photographer Sarah Lee shares her exotic photography of her "life through a lens" on her pages on Instagram and Facebook. Social media allows her to share her original creations with a variety of people who may have an interest in her work and may want to collaborate. Her blog is about the relatable struggles a teen in high school endures and she adds her own flavor of girl gossip and drama. Millions of teens across the globe read her blog and even created their own "online journal". It also helps with their creative writing skills. The popular trend of having your own blog has allowed for many teens to gain a new outlook on different kinds of people around the world. Another well known blogger, "cataglotism", blogs in a different style. He's only 17 and he publishes poems that he's written himself. A majority of his famous poems are about the racial discrimination towards African American in modern day age.
