Before I give a clear description of ministry context, I want to plant. Let me first of all trace the birthday of the church and that will give a way forward of answering a question like what is the biblical definition of a local church, which type of the ministry context I want to plant. Jesus said to Peter, “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matt 16:18).” Yet we see the church coming to exist in Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost. The Bible say’s on the day of Pentecost, the disciples were gathered together in one house waiting for the important event as Jesus has promised and thousands of Jews from all over the world were in Jerusalem for the Feast. The Holy Spirit came upon the believer and they spoke in foreign tongues which enabled other people who were around from various language groups to understand the message of the apostles’ (Acts 2:5-8) believed (Acts 2:41; 4:4), and they were added to the church. After this incident the church spread to other people groups region like Samaritans, where Philip evangelized in Acts 8. The members who have true testimony will be baptized as give the chance to be member of this church. As Peter said to them, ““Repent,” and be baptized, each of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38).” Jesus also said to his disciples, “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, (Matt 28:19).” Hence, Baptism is very important for the church and new believer to affirm into the body of
