Minecraft is a game created by a swedish programmer named Markus Persson who is known as “Notch”, to the in-game players. Minecraft is a game about destroying and placing blocks to make things. It was developed by Mojang and was released to the public May 17, 2009 on the PC. Minecraft allows the players to build structures out of 3D cubes. Things you can do include exploration, getting resources, crafting, and combat. You can also play in multiplayer, which consists of different servers with different owners and different rules. When it first starts people make buildings to defend themselves from nocturnal monsters. As the game is continued players started to working to make amazing things. There are many different places to explore, and resources to make extraordinary things. Animals and villagers, both non-hostile mobs, roam and provide resources, while zombies and skeletons tend to hurt the player. There are alternate universes in minecraft such as The Nether, and The End. The Nether is a hostile world filled with never ending fire and lava. Horrible mobs and harmful creatures seek you. The End is where the dreaded ender dragon lives, a player’s soul mission is to kill it. Killing the ender dragon results in obtaining an ender dragon egg, which currently has no use. In creative mode, all resources are free for use, flying is enabled, and the player can not take damage or get hungry. In survival, The player needs to fulfill their needs, health, hunger, and safety from hostile mobs. In hardcore, the monsters are more aggressive, your hunger is more intense, and you only have one life, where in other modes, you have unlimited lives. In minecraft, it is possible to enhance the game by downloading maps or mods. Mods are a fan-made addition to the game that can add better graphics or even new mobs. Maps are also fan-made. Maps are like mini-games, little minecraft side-quests, there are adventure maps, which are role-playing maps, puzzle maps, maps that cause you to use your brain to find answers, and creative maps, which are just player-made buildings and structures for use of the downloader. In minecraft goals called achievements, are set. These goals range anywhere from making a sword to slaying the final boss.
