Michelangelo and Raphael were famous artists.

Michelangelo was a sculptor, painter, poet, and architect. He had a huge impact on the start of Western Art. He was known as the greatest artist during his lifetime. He is now known as one of the greatest artists of all time.

Raphael was an Italian architect and painter. He did his work during the High Renaissance period. He was admired for his works clarity, visual appearance, and human gender realism. He was known as one of the great artists of his period. Some of his greatest works of art are The Marriage of a Virgin, Madonna and Child with Saint John the Baptist, and Transfiguration.
