You have taken the first step to a life more calm, more serene, and certainly more enjoyable. You may even be about to change your life in ways you are not completely aware yet.

However, there are some myths surrounding meditation that could be standing in a way of making meditation your daily practice.

Although mediation has entered the mainstream years ago, there are still some myths and misconceptions many harbor. People are still mystified with meditation. Don't let their misinterpretations stop you from having one of the potentially most life-changing, uplifting and empowering experiences one can have in his life.

Meditation is not a religion! Meditation is not a religious practice, though one can make it so. Practiced by millions of people around the world of different religious affiliations - or of no religious belief at all - meditation in no way violates any religious principles.

Meditation is not hard! Meditation is the most natural thing to do; it's so easy even children can learn it. As a matter of fact, some small children learn to do it by themselves, unknowingly. If something requires you to struggle, then it can't be meditation.

Some people think that they have been unsuccessful with meditating because they just can't stop their thoughts. How do people come to that conclusion, is a source of everlasting mystery to me. You are not required to somehow completely stop your thoughts in meditation: you don't have to, neither you could do it no matter how hard you try.
