My plan is to attend the University of Texas in Arlington, Located at 701 South Nedderman Drive, Arlington, TX 76019. Pursuing a degree in the medical field, no specific major yet. The reason I want to pursue a career in the medical field is because a lot of my family members currently hold jobs in the medical field. Seeing how positive they are everyday and how helping others at their job makes them more compassionate towards others is really inspiring. My mother and grandmother are a driving force in why I want to be in the medical field. Everyday I they tell me about their experiences at the doctor and how uncaring some are and the long drives they take to get there and the large doses of drugs they are prescribed. As the old saying goes, “If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself” and intend to do just that. Being a part of the medical field has it’s ups and downs like my family members have told me over and over again. The more brighter side being that you’re there for people when they need you and you can help them with their problems and ease their burden and or stress. Also the medical field will …show more content…
As cliche as it sounds from that day on it was almost burned into my head that there are people out there who lose family members everyday and they feel helpless. I want them to meet me and just feel secure that I will do everything in my power to help their loved one like my own. Whether I succeed or not depends on several factors and being one of the factors of failure isn’t what I strive for. You as a person are always seeking reassurance whether it be in life decisions or even just everyday tasks. My goal is when people go home and are in bed at night they don’t lose sleep over the condition of their loved one and to almost unconsciously put their trust in
I began my college career unsure of the path ahead of me. I knew I had a passion for medicine, however, I did not know which direction I would take. With the expansive amount of options offered within the fields of science and medicine, it was difficult to narrow down exactly what direction I wanted to take. I gained some clarity the summer of my sophomore year when I stayed at a close friend’s home, whose father, a practicing Medical Physician, became somewhat of a mentor to me. The passionate way in which he discussed the practice of medicine led me to develop an interest in pursuing a career as a physician. He explained that a career in the medical field was about responsibility, the responsibility to work with all members of the healthcare team for the well-being of the patient as well as their family
While doing my observations, at the outpatient and inpatient settings, I confirmed this is a career suited for my personality and abilities, where you get to teach patients how to recover and start from the beginning, and
Practicing in the medical field is a respectable profession, since its main goal is to help others when they are in need. Although, I’m not sure of what job I will have, I do know that it will be in the field of medicine. I hope through the mentoring program I will be able to decide if a Certified Medical Assistant is the job for me.
All my life I have known that I wanted to be involved in the medical field. At first, I wanted to be a Physical Therapist. The only problem was, I wasn’t excited about my possible future career. Then, I got offered a job doing in home care. I then knew I wanted to widened
Higher paid than most jobs annually. The more the experience the more the pay you will receive. This is profession that is going to be increasing in open positions because of the baby booming population. But there are also disadvantages too. This career can become emotionally stressful/draining. You have to deal with many patients from day to day. Some patients are easier to handle than others. You may have to deal with a lot of blood because of open wounds. A lot of physical stress involved too. Most of the time is spent standing, also some nights may have to work overnight shifts or be on
The career path that I want to pursue is in the medical field. I major in psychology and minor in biology because going to medical school has always been my desire. Being a pediatrician is my goal I wish to conquer. I am beyond interested and passionate about this career. It is not just a career, it is my life dreams. I want to be able to enjoy going to work every day knowing I love my job and I am here because I want to. Being a pediatrician I am able to work with children and many people of different cultures. I am thrilled to know that I will be capable of caring for sick children.
First I would like to state that any career in a medical field takes a lot of dedication and many hours studying and it is not for everyone. I would also like to say once an individual has made a career out of it the job has long hours and can be very stressful, so I suggest readers to not consider a career in medicine unless you are genuinely interested in the work, and are not in it just for the money.
It is a great way to test your self on weather the Medical Field is where you want to spend your time and energy working. With that being said, you get to spend your time working with other nurses to think on which level of work you want to attend or to change your mind on careers. You make a great amount of friends wile working due to all the people you work with and work around. Nurses have stated that they felt better about themselves after working in the medical field because they know at the end of the day they helped people in need of medical attention. On the downside, with this career you willingly expose your self to many diseases, bacteria, viruses, and other contagious sicknesses. Your bound to get sick more often from being around ill patients. Your back will frequently hurt due to all the walking and maneuvering during your
I have chosen to go into the medical field because I love to help people and make them feel better. I will be studying Biology and minoring in Psychology in Pre medicine. There are many other jobs that help people out, like social workers, teachers, and police force. Those are great jobs but the medical field gives a person a certain kind of adrenalin. I was in a car accident which my car was rolled into a field, three feet from hitting a tree. I
It is one I know I will love and will be much more than just a job. It gives ordinary people the opportunity to be a proponent for every patient especially those who may fall through the cracks of the health care system. With that being said, I established important goals to remain on this path for success. By the end of my career I hope to be ultimately satisfied with my choices and following the realistic and clear career goals I have put out with myself, I hope to acquire the characteristics needed to become a successful perioperative nurse and become not only a healthcare provider, but an advocate for my patients and to have the education needed to give them the care and dedication each patient
...Overall, this is an interesting career and if someone would like to enter the healthcare field, without doing the on hands patient care, this a good path to follow.
Coming from a small family were most aren't able to actually pursue their career goals, I've the determination to be the first in the family to actually go and pursue my goal no matter how hard it might get, especially when it comes to financially being able to get my self through school. I had the advantage of going to Jack E Singley Academy, a public magnet school which they helped students like my self go into the field they desire at an early stage and help us obtain hands on experience within that field. Being in the Medical program in Singley helped me decided what i really wanted to do with my life and it actually helped me want to reach my goals even more. I would hope to someday become an ER Doctor, and of course that will take several
While attending college, it is my ultimate goal to become a doctor, either a podiatrist, radiologist, or plastic surgeon. I intend to earn my undergraduate degree at the University of Florida, majoring in chemistry. Then, I plan to attend medical school at the University of Florida, as well. After completing a residency in my specialty, I would like to begin a medical practice somewhere in central Florida.
All in all being a surgeon has been a lifelong dream of mine. As a surgeon you must be prepared for anything every single day of every single year. Some may be able to handle that others might not. Surgeons may arguably have the hardest, most stressful job. They have another person’s life in their hands and that person may live or die based on the actions of that surgeon. The work is tuff, the education is rougher but being able to withstand all that, and fighting each and every day to reach my ultimate goal is well worth it. Once I start I won’t turn back, being a surgeon is what I want to do, since I’ve started highs school I have had my eyes set on this job and giving up isn’t a option. After learning all these things I have, I want to be a surgeon. This job saves lives and being able to do that will make my life worth wild.
