is true courage? How is it shown? Courage can be displayed by different people in different ways. It can also be exemplified in different ways, but the main definition of “courage” is being brave even when you feel hopeless or scared. Furthermore, true courage is being confident in doing something sacrificing for a greater good. People measure courage in false ways, as a result; the real meaning is not to be understood by others.

The meaning of true courage is to do something when someone is scared or if they feel hopeless. It can also mean to do something sacrificing for a greater good. An example is to sell something big like a car to obtain money. Many people have display true courage by also giving. Giving is important because a person gives away something they won't need, but will benefit in someone's life greatly. Courage is written all over history. In the great wars, soldiers made a sacrifice by going to war and risking their lives for the safety of their country. “May the brave men Rest In Peace.”

Secondly, another way to show true courage is to admit being wrong.

An example of this is the novel “To Kill a Mockingbird”. It has to do with racism in the late 1900’s. Many people had the idea that colored people were all bad and even went to the point in killing them. Even though it is something terrible wrong, the white community outnumbered the black community. Well, in the novel the father of the main character Atticus Finch knew this was wrong and defended a black man in court accused of raping a white girl. Atticus Finch knew he was in the right even if the white community opposed to his ideas. The true courage he exemplified was that he never let go of those ideas, even when everyone opposed him, Atticus fought for what he believed with courage and
