was a thirteen year old girl who didn't care about what she says or what she was thinking. Margot was Anne’s older sister she was very caring, helpful, and smart. Mr.Frank was Anne and Margot's father he was caring and helpful he helped put people in the annex who were Jewish even though there wasn’t a lot of space. Mrs.Frank was Anne and Margot's mom, she was also Mr.Frank's wife. Anne wasn't very close to her mom. Mr.Dussel was Annes roommate in the annex, he was very strict with Anne. Mr.Van Daan was very selfish. He ate a lot, he smokes,and he is overweight. Mrs van Daan was Mr.van daan's wife. she only cared about Mr.Van Daan and she loved her stuff. The setting was in Amsterdam, in an Annex they were in hiding because the green police would take them to a concentration camp because they were Jewish. According to dictionary.com “Courage means the equality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, and pain without fear.” Mr.Frank showed courage because in the play when there was a thief in the Annex Mr.Frank was the only one who volunteered to go downstairs to see if it was a thief and that was very courageous of him. Another person who also showed courage was Miep because while the residents Margot is also very smart and got good grades. Margot was very quiet she wasn't as talkative as Anne she would always mind her business. Mr.Frank was another person who showed compassion because he let four more people in the Secret Annex knowing that it would be hard because they would take up more space than just the three of
