Before college I never thought of the concept of God being involved in mathematics. I was only taking my math classes to complete my degree however, after doing some research it is clear that mathematics brings glory to God in the most amazing ways! Colossians 1:16 says “for in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through him and for him.” This obviously includes mathematics. Verse 17 goes on to say that “he is before all things and in him all things holds together.”
I myself have a blood disorder called myelodysplastic syndrome also Known as Pre-Leukemia. How the doctors monitor my blood disorder all comes down to numbers and measurements. The number of blood cells I am producing as well as the size and shape of my blood cells as well as the number of days it takes for those numbers to go down all contribute to my body’s health. My daughter has cancer and every test she takes to monitor her health comes down to the numbers. Rev 4:11 says “ about art worthy, oh Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast creator of all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”. Our bodies and nature only work if mathematics holds true. There is order in everything that exists and the first place God used mathematics and order is in the Holy Trinity. In Genesis 1:26 it says “let us make mankind in our image in our likeness so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky over the livestock and all the wild animals and over all the creatures that move along around.” The word our in this verse is speaking of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit whom each have their own respective roles in creation which again reveals Gods
