I believe that I am a qualified candidate for the New York State National Math Honor Society because I am an invested student. Throughout my school career I have always worked my hardest and tried my absolute best. When I start any project I like to see them through to the end. I think that being in the NYSMHS would benefit me a great deal in my future goals. Math is a very important subject because not only does it improve your learning skills but it also improves your problem solving and creative techniques as well. Currently my plan is to go to college and pursue a career that peaks my interest and challenges my ability level. Math will help me pursue my goals because it will continue to develop my brain by using cognitive thinking.
The National Junior Honor Society is a very respected and prestigious organization that I would be glad to be a part of. The students involved exemplify scholarship, leadership, service, character, and knowledge. All of which are traits that are incredibly important in my own life. I feel that each student with the privilege to commit to this foundation should devote some time and effort to those qualities. Scholarship has been a major part of my life since elementary school.
The National Honors Society is based off of four pillars: Scholarship, Leadership, Character and Service. These are all characteristics a member of the National Honor Society should exhibit. I believe that I possess all of these characteristics and should be given the chance of becoming a NHS member. This has also been a goal of mine since freshman year and would mean a lot to me to be apart of such a prestigious organization.
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being in the National Junior Honor Society, I’d love to share my ideas and thoughts on how to make the world a better place.
To be in the National Junior Honor Society, one must have good citizenship and character. I seek to be a part of this society because it is a great honor and shows not only to others, but also to myself, how hard I have worked throughout my years at Northvale Public School. I take part in school activities and have helped my teachers, so
As an applicant to the Sparkman National Honor Society, I feel that I would be a good candidate because I thrive to reach characteristics similar to those of the “four pillars”, scholarship, service, leadership, and character, in my everyday life. Although some areas are weaker than others, I think that simply contributes even more to the uniqueness I have to offer.
I also learned that mathematics was more than merely an intellectual activity: it was a necessary tool for getting a grip on all sorts of problems in science and engineering. Without mathematics there is no progress. However, mathematics could also show its nasty face during periods in which problems that seemed so simple at first sight refused to be solved for a long time. Every math student will recognize these periods of frustration and helplessness.
Karl Marx once said, “History repeats itself, first as tragedy, second as farce.” As a member of Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honor Society, I would like to establish a young scholars league, in the elementary schools, where I can assign small portions of Bayonne histories to each chapter for them to promote it to their schools by having small assemblies. In addition, I can advertise Bayonne High School’s history department by explaining the advantages of participating in the various programs available in this district, such as explaining student accomplishments such as students winning numerous awards in history competitions, and getting scholarships from different universities, and encourage to take the rigorous courses offered within this school. I have also communicates with
question led to two sub questions: “What personality traits do I gain from doing math?” and “How can math help me prepare and get into college?” I explored this question by doing numerous math problems, and I learned new concepts such as matrices, vectors, and the polar coordinates. I learned a myriad of new qualities about myself as I worked on these problems. For example, I discovered that I enjoy solving difficult problems rather than easy problems as I enjoy the challenge of difficult problems, and I feel content after solving a difficult problem because I didn’t expect to solve it. I also realized that my time management
Contrary to popular belief, mathematics has a wide range of useful applications. Those who would ask whenever they would need algebra, both linear algebra and calculus is used extensively in computer programming and engineering. The fact is that mathematics is integrated into almost every profession, and every aspect of your life.
he study of math is important because with out math we wouldn’t have all the things we have today, such as computers, cars, planes, space exploring technology, etc. With out math all that stuff, which we take for granted would not be around. We would still be in the dark ages if people with a great understanding for math hadn’t been there to invent new things and pull us out of the dark ages and into the techno age. Even though I may not me a mathematical genius, I realize that with out math I would have to write my whole report out on hand instead of a computer. I could not play my video games or chat online with friends if it wasn’t for math and the understanding of it. The study of math is important to society and probably always will be.
Mathematics is a subject that many people fear and complain is too difficult to learn. The truth, however, is everyone is capable of learning mathematics, even complicated mathematics. They simply need to know the proper method of learning. Mathematics is different from other subjects. It is more than rote memorization. Developing learning skills is vital to learning mathematics. Study skills specific to the subject are required, as is developing problem solving skills and learning to properly deal with learning stresses.
Math is very important to the world. It used everywhere and every day. It is used in many things people would never expect. People do not know how much math is involved in everything around them. More importantly, they do not know how much geometry is involved. Geometry has evolved in the arts, in navigation, and building and has made the world technologically advanced.

Math is a subject has always and will continue to pulled my interests. This was because it was a subject that would lead me to a single unique answer. Once I started to attend high school, physics then opened up another interest, not only with math, but an interest in Math with actual application into the real world. With physics, it allowed me to see how math could be used to predict events. The classes that I have taken that has shaped my interests for my major of science in mathematics are Physics, and Computer Science.
When I was young, my dream is to become a successful engineer someday. Of all subject, Mathematics is the easiest for me. I remember how many times I become an honor student during my elementary days and the only subject that lifts my grade is Mathematics. I remember how many times my teacher assigned me to check the seat work of my classmates when I was in high school. And I never thought that I will do this in the future.
