Companies should have mandatory diversity training for all employees because of cultural differences in business. Diversity training addresses issues such as cultural differences can improve customer service, build cooperative relationships, and build respect. Diversity is important and matters because people from different countries and backgrounds have different ideas and beliefs and it allows people to understand and respect those differences. It can also eliminate stereotypes and foster healthy, unique, and meaningful relationships at work, school and in society.

It demonstrates to individuals the ability to understand the value of divergent thinking and develop ways to apply it to workplace challenges. It instructs you and gives you the power to explore your own comfort level with respect to ambiguity, risk and adaptability which are essential elements of the creative process. The use of these principles supports you to experience the value of adding and removing tools, processes throughout any creative development to shift thinking, challenging, predictable approaches and making transformational strides (Gelb, 1998). . When you are creative you tend to see opportunities and possibilities that you would not normally consider. Creativity and innovation allows you to stay competitive and to think outside the box in a very imaginative and free flowing manner.
