Charities for Children are one of the best ways for you to give back your blessings. It also provides the avenue for instilling the value of sharing. There are several charitable organizations specifically catering to the needs of less fortunate children. Here are some of the charities for kids that you might find worth sharing your blessings with: Save the Children This is one of the popular charities for children that were originally founded in England in 1919. It was principally made to help children affected by World War I. It was revive in the United States in 1932 as an organization helping the people in Appalachia, especially those struggling through the Great Depression. It has become a worldwide organization that has served at least 37 million children in over 50 countries to date. Since 1996 this Foundation has reached out to over 19,000 children in over 500 hospitals and health care facilities in the United States. Children love songs because the songs reduce tensions. For a moment they can forget their physical or emotional problems. The songs allow the children to release feeling about the conditions of their lives. Songs strike at the very foundation of the bodies and allow some healing to start. Make-a-Wish Foundation This is probably the world's largest wish-granting organization. In 2007 alone, it has granted the wishes of 13,006 children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. The organization has granted more than 165,000 wishes since it begun in 1980. There are about 25,000 volunteers for this foundation. These are professionals who try to give ill children their greatest wishes.
