Religions and practices are prominent throughout the world, and have major impacts to their followers and societies who practice it. They make up more than 84% of the entire world population, and many of them are similar in many ways.
Buddhism is one of the largest religions in the world, with more than 470 million followers today. It originated in India, around the 5th century B.C. Their leader was Siddhartha Gautama, also known as Buddha. Another major world religion is Hinduism, which has more than 1.1 billion followers today. It was founded in the Indus River Valley around 5000 B.C.E, and their founder was Sri Ramakrishna.
