Research Scenario
Feminism can be a theory, a social movement, or a political action that has been demonstrated in many different ways in history. There have been many different key factors that played a role in forming feminism. There are certain leaders or spokespersons’ of feminism, as well as a general sense for organizing change amongst women’s equality that helped to develop what we know, or conceive feminism to be. Feminism has been successfully communicated using several types of strategies, and advocates have framed their goals for feminism using those strategic advantages in their favor to help their cause or movement.

Tonn writes, “Mothers may be rawdy, bawdy, and irreverent personal expression to exercise and enact a form of power.” (Tonn, 1996) Militant motherhood promotes personal sovereignty, emotional and intellectual growth, socialization, and maternal power. Strategic communication uses the persona of mothering to provide a nurturing and dominant authority. Uses the desire to change others that is not inherently paternalistic, and over confrontation to increase identification. (Tonn, 1996) Feminist have a way to convince their own community that they have power, and reform younger people that they don’t have to settle for the way things are, and that they can change the things that they believe to be incorrect with society.
