Magna Carta The Magna Carta is a English Great Charter of liberties that was granted by the king of England, King John. The Magna Charter was granted on June 15, 1215 due to the rising threats of civil wars and alternations among the country. The rules and laws in the Magna Carta was the foundation and beginning of the "free men" or individual rights. The book originated during the time William the first was in power. The actions he made and the things that he did lead there to be laws put into place and lead to people wanting there to fair and equal rights. Black Plague The Black Plague (Black Death) had an outbreak through out Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa in the early 1330s. It arrived in Europe by sea. Her name real name was Jean D'Arc. She couldn't read or write and she was h wriggle voices in her head. She claimed that these voices were the voices of angles. She said that these voices were comforting to her because they lived in a time when there was little to nothing that was comforting. When she to the age of 17 the voices became more intense and they were telling her to do something about the war between English and France. So she went to the person who was "in charged" (but not really in charge) of France at the time and told them that she needs to lead the troops into battle so she can save France. In order for the people to believe her she had to do a task, she had to find which one was "the king" in a crowd of people all wearing around the same thing. She accomplished this goal so the king believed her and she was put in charged and she lead the knights into battle. She was doing very well at winning battles. Her voices eventually told her that she needs to get captured because it was meant to happen. She got captured but the English couldn't find anything to hold her accountable for. The English and the church eventually found something to hold her accountable for, "wearing men's clothing."
