A historian’s job is to use analysis of the past in order to convey information and potentially pursued the reader. I believe that Bradford did the best job at this, compared to Paludan. Bradford provided a thorough analysis of Lincoln’s actions in order to prove that he was corrupt. He had multiple points to prove this and persuades the reader against the typical view that Lincoln was a great president. Pauldan also provided analysis of Lincoln’s actions to support his side, but he seemingly had less points to support a common perspective. 2.
