All people are created equal no matter their status or their net worth. Although some may argue that people are valued differently by how they choose to live, we believe that no matter your choices everyone’s equal. People are all equal according to the Constitution, Zaroff hunted weak and scummy people but he also hunted Rainsford.

Zaroff from “The Most Dangerous Game” hunted very scummy people after he became bored with hunting animals, but at the same time he hunted Rainsford and He was an inspiration to Zaroff. “I hunt the scum of the earth - sailors from tramp ships - Lascars, Blacks, Chinese, Whites, Mongrels.” This shows equality because it shows how even though he hunted people he believed were scum of the earth, he also hunted a man he saw as an inspiration.

The Declaration of Independence states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” This shows that all men are created and intended to be equal. Even though some people are more successful than others or have a higher status, that doesn’t make them better than anyone else. Even the law states that your occupation defines your value and your worth. In What is the Value of a Human Life by Kenneth Feinburg it states, “ The law required that I give more money to the stockbroker, the bond trader, and the banker than to a waiter, the policeman, the fireman and the soldier at the Pentagon.” It also states, “ Compensation for death should be directly related to the financial circumstances of each victim” (Feinberg 1).
