My heart freezes and cracks from the insufferable pain, And my burgundy veins keep telling me to shout. Your black whispers seep into my frantic mind, And your rancid mutterings make my insides bleed. I used the shards of my shrilling heart as a mirror. The mirror reflected a light inside of me. The black pulverizing pain became a whisper. The light inside ignited a new hope in me. My hope is no longer the reassurance of a cologne smelling snake, And is definitely not the aid of a vulture with a perfume smelling chest. My hope is a growing flower as soft as a snowflake, Yet as unbreakable as a bulletproof vest.
