Being a leader in a business environment is a vital role in helping a business achieve its goals and objectives. Without effective leaders in business, business will not be able to function in an orderly manner and in turn will fail. When businesses decide to employ potential leaders, there are ten traits that businesses need to look for when hiring their potential leaders. Recognizing talent is the third trait that businesses need to look for when hiring potential leaders (Kaufman, 2014). It’s important for leaders to be able to recognize talent because a business is made up of people which means that a business will only go as far as the talent of the people working in the business. Never saying satisfied is the forth trait that businesses need to look for when hiring potential leaders (Kaufman, 2014). Never staying satisfied is an important trait for leaders to possess is because leaders who never stay satisfied with goals being achieved by them and their teams will always strive to do better every day. Leaders who are fearless will more likely take risks in order for them and their teams to achieve their goals and beyond. Leaders who are tough are able to stand up for themselves and their team when they need to be. Being likeable is the eighth trait that businesses need to look for when hiring potential leaders (Kaufman, 2014). Being likeable in a business setting is important because likeable leaders are influential and have teams that have high levels of productivity and efficiency. Being a visionary is the ninth trait that businesses need to look for when hiring potential leaders (Kaufman, 2014). Leaders who are visionaries are the ones who have business goals and ideas and can translate those goals and ideas into business plans for their teams to follow.
